Recently I announced the birth of Ramirez Enterprises with a note on the trade wall listing items I had available. Due to a nearly life threatening lack of caffeine in my system, I thought it would be funny to list Dinner with Tuco as an item. It was a joke. Who would want such a thing? Apparently more people than I had expected (which was none).

Halabinder expressed interest in a game of backgammon (which I never play and am horrible at) or chess (which I am relatively competent at on a really good day). Well, one thing led to another and we set a time for the match, as well as terms. Should I win the game, I would be paid a handsome 20,000 gold prize, instead of the highly-affordable 2000 gold asking price.

With literally nothing to lose, we met in Moonglow and were soon magically transported to a scenic tower near some distant shore. After showing me his bagball field and explaining the origins of that game a bit, we got down to the business at hand.

That's Halabinder talking. He played white after a bit of dleliberation. His stance was aggressive, mine was more... passive-aggresive? I won't bore you with the minutae, but the early deployment of a queen commanded the focus of the entire match. As her fate was finally decided, so was the contest.

(that sounds really cocky, I missed screenshotting the line before where we agreed that it was pretty much over at this point. hopefully following tales will be better)

The evening was enjoyable. Halabinder is a most excellent host. I went home satisfied with a game well played and a spot of money made!

I am glad you enjoyed the hospitality. I am sorry I actually forgot to feed you! You can buy a lot of fish steaks with 20k though so I am sure this poor thief did not go hungry. Good Game mister Ramirez.

As Staff I can neither accept nor give items or currency.. If we were to play a game of chess, it would have to be strictly for the fun of it. Nothing more. :)

Even the counselor's are non-playing staff? That's great, and also harsh. I feel for ya, mang. This shard is great! I'd hate to have to work it and not be able to play. Although I understand why that happens.

Still, it's too bad. I wanted to take your money!

I will play you a game Peg. I have a loosing streak to keep up!

I would much rather play backgammon though... There is an element of luck I could count on to balance the lack of skill...
