Hi, Everything has been working perfectly until yesterday when I logged onto my ancient real OSI UO account and since then the icons for the counters which are displayed on the top of the UO Client window have disappeared. I checked all of the settings for run as administrator, XP SP3, disable desktop composition etc. but all I get is the colons and the amount of the resource, not the resource icon. I also tried turning off displaying the images which just seems to get rid of the separating colons, and then turned that back on again but still the icons don't show. I tried this with both the global setting and also the individual counters setting on a counter edit pop-up. No joy. I compared the counter file to my backup and they are identical. After a few minutes of fiddling I simply did a system restore to the previous day and back came my resource icons. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there anything to check that I may have missed? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks FB
That was the first thing I looked at. Visiting other threads on this with Google, it seems that it is something the latest UO clients do (after 7.0.24 or so) when the .mul files changed. The fact that a system restore fixes it (and this is confirmed in another thread) would indicate to me that it is probably a registry change. So I will have a look at that in more detail next time I feel the urge to go check on my silver steed! Incidentally, my silver steed is a different, darker, hue to the current one you get on RunUO or indeed the one that runs around in Moonglow Zoo on OSI. Looks like it uses a different item number judging by the more detailed but more same-colour mane and thinner tail. Also the bottom of the legs are lighter on mine but darker on the zoo one. Sadly I can't get off it to check the item ID because it is prepatch original T2A rules and I don't have the taming for it to let me back on! This was a one day spawn that one of the GMs did for fun. Can't remember which one after all these years, but he got into trouble for it. Maybe Sunsword... I would imagine that mine is the only one left now as they were deleted on sight and later I believe they would even ban you for having one. A bit harsh considering they were an actual spawn! There were only ever 7. I always kept mine under wraps but did email Origin once informing them I had it and asking that they allow me to keep it. Never got a reply. So if anyone with a T2A shard who wants to be strictly accurate, this is what it actually looked like. Different to the summoned one on Siege Perilous and the one that lives at Moonglow zoo. These screenshots were taken on the same day last week so no trickery or anything. FB
I don't know nothin' bout any of that. But I do know I've got a kick-ass Counter setup. Copy paste the below text into Razor: ~#FFFFFF{shard}~#~ {crimtime} {char} {bandage} ~#FFD700 HITS: {hp}/{hpmax} ~#~ ~#DC143C STAM: {stam}/{stammax} ~#~ ~#00BFFF MANA : {mana}/{manamax} ~#~ {bp} {bm} {gl} {gs} {mr} {ns} {ss} {sa} {heal} {cure} {refresh} {agility} {strength} {aids} ~I09B2~: {weight}/{maxweight} ~I1408~: {ar} ~I0EEF~: {gold} {mediumstatbar} You'll have to add the blue and white potions {agility} and {strength} tags manually as they're not there by default.
The problem is that the counters don't show up when you run client >7.0.24 and they don't come back when you run client 5.x.x until you restore your computer to when it last worked. Like the {shard} tag though.
