    Good Evening!
I am just getting back to the game after a >2 year break. I kept all of my characters but gave literally everything else I had away, so I am restarting but should be up and running fast enough.
One of my characters was created for the sole purpose of assisting to GM Taming on my other account and his template is very wonky:
    GM Herding
    GM Hiding
    GM Music
    94 Peace
    GM Stealth
    57 Tracking
    40ish Healing
    40ish Anatomy
Is there any useful template that can be built out of the majority of these skills, or should I potentially just turn this into a pure bard or something else entirely?
I can’t imagine herding will work well in any template, but I’m not sure if the stealth is useful anywhere (or the Tracking, though that’s still low enough for me not to care much if I dropped it)
Help me with your wild imagination for usefulness!

Well, certainly I'd ditch herding, as much as I respect the use of such a niche skill.

Having a bard with tracking can be useful for holiday events, particularly with Christmas coming up. You would need magery I think, but you could run around tracking for holiday spawn and then open a gate for your tamer to come through and wreak destruction on whichever mobs you've found. Basically though you're looking at a pure bard anyway, discordance and provocation are more useful than peacemaking in this situation. Hiding can be useful on that template in case you have trouble managing the double/triple box.

Another option would be an instance character, particularly for AMiBs. Some people stealth through these events on a thief. I'm not sure if this works for Level 7 maps or Xmas scrolls, but you could make this character into a thief and steal keys from bosses, use them to open chests. Probably want lockpicking for this as well, but not sure.

Similarly you could conceivably make this into a T-Mapper if you add cartography and lockpicking, or a dungeon chest lockpicker if you train just lockpicking (famously difficult to train). Even then, provocation is still probably more useful than peacemaking, although if you get caught by a group of dungeon creatures you have to gtfo anyway.

Basically though all of the skills you currently have are free or very cheap to train and relatively easy, accomplished mainly via macros. The only cost I see here is a few hundred gp for instruments for the music and peace, and a negligible amount of bandages for 30-40 healing. I'd just remake the character.

Another option might be to add the veterinary and animal lore skills to make a supplementary healer for your tamed creatures. Just gotta be careful where you put him, as he has to be close enough to the dragons to heal but not in the line of fire.

I've thought about making a dedicated veterinarian bot. It might even work well with peace on loop, althought discord/Provo would be way more helpful.

    GM lore
    Vet
    Music
    Peace
Mage- you could add some trigger words to your macro to recall/open a gate
    Resist
    Tracking?

Make it auto follow your pet, and control it with simple loop macros or make it complex with comm crystals.

You could also turn this into a sneaky PK built. Stealth around and use herding to draw more monster onto a player. The second it looks like things are going south for them you start a spell combo, provo a mob onto one of their dragons (ties it up) and raise hell!

Good old @BlackEye has tried something like this before. Not sure if he is still about to explain if its worth it :)

    GM Herding
    GM Hiding
    GM Music
    GM Provo
    GM Stealth
    GM Magery
    50 Eval
    50 Med

If you have anything you'd like to discuss with the shardowner, I heard herding monsters to Ocllo bank is a great way to get his attention as well. Probably the skill's greatest use.

Does that mean it’s illegal or just frowned upon?

Functionally illegal, although the guard mechanics have been changed to make it much harder to do anyway (Britannia has provided all villagers with mystical 360 degree LASIK and in gratitude they are much more vocal when calling for the guards than they were years ago).

    So I’m now 6x GM:
    Herding
    Hiding
    Stealth
    Tracking
    Music
    Peace
Can anyone tell me if you can herd things such as Lich Lords or Daemons or dragons etc?
I got to thinking this could actually be useful once I raise a little Magery to recall around if I could use this char to assist in rounding up the high level mobs in addition to possibly keeping them peaceful while I try to tame or some such.
