What price would motivate you to "knock the dust off" ?? Right now, the gods say there is over 1m in Sossaria in the hands of its citizens. I get there is some risk in obtaining it, atleast 3-5x more risky than just gold itself, hence my offer. It has a certain value to me as a merchant to obtain goods and services, the value of those goods and services have a specific gold equivalent. If the base cost of obtaining that silver crosses that threshold, then I shall seek other means Thank you
OK I see your point, and it is a valid one at that. I can't say that I used a tamer and farmed this silver from mobs... personally I could find better objects to acquire with a tamer. Over the course of a year I gathered this for use in crafting faction blessed weapons, clothing, whatever someone needed/wanted on their faction chars. I originally had just over 40k from doing nothing extremely difficult. Sure if I used a tamer and farmed Orge Lords I may have come out a little better but, meh I never had a tamer in factions. I used half of it to bless weapons and such for faction mates and can't remember them using those once. Maybe I missed it, maybe not. Either way, I will give it some thought. I know how valuable this can be for a crafter, such as yourself, to make a real profit. I can not blame you really. Factions have been busy lately and who wouldn't want a valorite crafted spear/axe/whatevs. So even on your high end that is 100k to me for 20k silver to you. Call it me being greedy if you wish, makes no difference to me honestly, I just want the most bang for my buck. I have no use for this and see no harm in selling it to you though. I just think it's worth more imho, especially to a crafter/merchant of your stature. I am on discord and willing to discuss this farther with you in private also. This silver has nothing what-so-ever to do with faction guards. This is used to faction bless runic weapons, barbed leather armor and clothing for faction chars. faction guards use up the silver that is held in each towns hold
I hear his pricing and it makes perfect sense, BUT at the same time the function the silver provides is worth more than that rate to farm it... I can farm 50k an hour just messin around and I'm not sure on silver drop rates but I'm pretty sure I can't farm 10k silver in an hour.... If you're hard at it more than 50k and hour can be done, I'd think pricing it at the amount of silver you can farm and hour max with 1 box compared to the amount of gold you can farm in one hour max, that's a fair comparison?
If you can farm 10k silver, with each mob dropping only 30 silver, in an hour I would be surprised. Although I didn't farm it this way and cannot be sure Of course this is also depending on what the tithe rate is at the time
This is exactly what I was thinking. Someone can easily farm 50k an hour without trying, and maybe 100k in an hour if you're recalling from spot to spot and trying really hard. How long does it take to farm 20k silver? Way longer than an hour, probably weeks. Mobs don't drop silver every single time. This is how silver should be given a valuation. 50k gold in an hour but only 100 silver in an hour? Then silver should be worth 500g per (this is just an example, nobody quote me on this exact value)
I've put some thought into this.... TB has a tithe rate of 10% so when I killed ogre mages, with a stun thief mage not a tamer, I would get 30 silver a kill. Now there's no way to spawn 333.333333333 ogre lords in an hour. This is how many I would have to kill to reach 10k silver. Sure you can kill that many, but they won't spawn that fast. I wouldn't think they would at least. Wisps? no damn way... same for silver serps. Daemons would be the only way to have a fighting chance at making that and even then it would seem impossible in an hour. Still I haven't tested this, nor will I with triple boxing faction tamers. Cause... why?
I just joined Minax and farmed Daemons for 30 minutes. Made about 250 silver. So it seems about 500/hour if you're playing really relaxed? Could maximize if you marked a runebook of every daemon spawn and recalled around, but.. like you said... why...
It's about 27 silver per daemon. I haven't worked out the silver per hour from spawn locations. The highest would probably be fire temple?
I would think level...4? daemons in Hythloth would be the best bet to give this a fair run for testing
Hedge maze daemons always served me well for silver farming, quick respawn and nicely spread so you can happily chip away on a dexxer without having to deal with more than one at a time.
There is actually a guy buying silver here... just knock the dust off that silver you're never going to use it and sell it.
