What is this? What area is changing? Where is Waldo? All of these questions and more will be answered at the start time of the event in UOR discord. This one time event is the result of a lighting update taken to the next level. After spending about one month on this area, I asked Chris/Telamon if we could do an event to commemorate the areas new look. With the green light, plans have been made for a short "grand opening" event! During this event players can expect to see unique event monsters, get event statue drops, and experience the latest part of Ultima Online Renaissance - History Perfected. I know this may sound a little risky but fear not! The area being altered will have no changes to the static monster spawn. There is also minimal alteration to active tiles in the area (99% of currently marked locations should still work). (Edit) Now that the event has ended, I welcome all to post screen shots and comments on the Shame lvl 1 update.
Event was great! Around 50-60 people showed up to clear the event monsters much faster then planned upon. Still, players had 20 minutes of unique PvM followed by another 20 minutes of PvP for those who stayed Images of Shame level 1 before & after now posted on the Dungeon Lighting Updates section.
Cpr was there to enjoy the event and to appreciate your decoration work! I loved the new and, at the same time, original atmosphere.
Not sure what this event was exactly, but it seems you have some coding skills @Keza .. Have you ever thought about including the Ocllo dungeons, and other custom areas, on the in-game mini-map? I find it very annoying when large areas aren't visible on the map. I just avoid them altogether. And I don't think we should have to use UOMap or any other third party application to enjoy UOR. Thoughts?
@Mr. Green I have zero coding skills and zero access to the game code. The ONLY thing I am doing with these lighting updates is design work using existing static items. An update to the UOAM map to include the Ocllo dungeon is outside my wheel house.
