heya all! played UO back from 98 to right about Samurai Empire (ugh..dunno why i waited so long after AoS to quit lol, that sunswords got a lot to answer for heh) anyway just wondering. whats the city to hang in? ya know, buying, selling, general mischief etc....in the early OSI days it was trinsic, then after muffinification britain....what about here? look forward to meeting you all in game
Welcome to the shard! Make sure you join the 'Young' program when you create your character (or anytime after) and it will automatically move you to Ocllo which is where its at.
Ocllo is also where all the thieves are. Be careful and get out of there once the new thing wears off.

i live incredibly rural, and my internet connection is my tethered phone that i only get a signal for because i bought a commercial grade cell signal booster...as such discord and I do not seem to get along

I didn’t use the young program but since they modified the Occlo dungeon, I would recommend it for the first week, its very well done and the entire island is pretty interactive. After you discover for all it’s worth, venture out through the moon gate by the bank into to the real UO. Plenty of guilds to join, as well, depending on what you need or what you’re style of play is. Roleplaying, player vs monsters or player. vs player. Speaking of thieves in Occlo, it’s one template that really doesnt require very much gold, so that template can be a lot of fun. Cheers
