Okay, so I thought that getting wool off a dead sheep would get you less wool, and it would be called "dirty wool" or something like that, that was a slightly different hue.

Instead, gathering wool from a live sheep gets you 1 regular wool, while gathering wool from a dead sheep gets you 3 regular wool, but the 2 types of wool aren't able to be stacked together.

Is this how it's supposed to be?

I know they're supposed to be but I just had some in my pack and they're the same color. Lemme go get some and take a screenshot. If the change is very very slight, I might have missed it, but I put the 1 wool on top of the 3 wool (since they wouldn't stack, i just put them on top of each other) and they looked exactly the same. I'll go use the deco tool to check the hues.

Okay, so I ran around and gathered both types of wool, using the deco tool on them. Neither gave me a hue number, but the wool from the dead sheep was identified by the deco tool as a TaintedWool and the wool from the live sheep was identified as a Wool. The hues appear to be the same, as seen in the image below

Should they have 2 different names when you click on them, or are they supposed to be like they are now, and just say a pile of wool, regardless of the type?

I cant remember if its OSI or another server of the free type that wool from dead sheep is called 'bloodied wool' or something of the sort.
out of intrest is it possible to dye both with a tub and then stack them?

I believe the tainted wool yields less thread on the spinning wheel, might want to check me on that though.

They're already the same hue. The reason they can't be stacked together is because they have 2 different item IDs

I’d be interested to know what the count is between the two types

Same item ID, same Hue on wool.

I have potions, total refresh, that cant be stacked with others. Same ID - not flipped with house tool or anything.

Two different wool hues. Dead or alive.
