Please guys, give new players a crack at these spots. Don't just place in order to add to your property collection.
I just redeeded a Sandstone Patio and a marble workshop. Side by side. I am consolidating my money/ property to get ready to buy a big house.

The location is just NE of the Cove Rune Library, a few screens away, by the water. You aren't far from cove, a moongate and a gigantic rune library. Perfect spots for someone just getting started.

Started a week ago and can't find a spot for anything other than an 8x7.

Compile that with the nerfed secure box containers....

All those spots should be gone in seconds.

I checked a little while ago and it was still open. I can help you find the spot, if you want. You probably can't fit anything big, but a sandstone, small tower, workshop or combination of will fit. There is a pesky rock and tree in the way preventing the placement of anything large. You might be able to make it work. I just gave up on it. Probably not prime real estate, but I would have killed to have had a house there my first go around. I was quickly able to make copies of all the lockpicking and dungeon runebooks I wanted. Relatively PK free area. Plenty of lumber around and not far from cove where you can mine or pick cotton.
@Nicodemus messsage Deebo on IRC and I will be happy to guide you there.

Just went out. Spent 12 minutes.

Found L shape, 2 cabins, and several SST's.

I used to post them but other people snagged them to be asshats. G'luck to you in your housing endeavors.

Yeah, it is quite easy to find up to a Villa if you go out to non-populated areas.

I just thought this would be a great spot for a new player. Maybe I am just in love with the idea of being 10 seconds away from the Cove Rune Library. I started playing again about a week and a half ago and almost have enough $$ to replace the large tower I lost from my break. I already had GM tamers, GM lockpicker/ dungeon crawler, fishermen though. I just thought it would be nice to let any new player know that there is a few good spots open, if you are just getting started.

@wylwrk Almost there, man. A large tower is plenty enough for me. First objective.

Spent 1 1/2 hrs looking today for a lpatio spot and found nothin more than small tower areas. And I went as far off the beaten path as it comes.

So I guess I'll just litter the whole map with small houses *shrug*

Dumb but gotta do what I gotta do.

You know there's no item decay in houses? You can store thousands of items in the smallest of houses if you want to, no need to litter the map for secures at all.
