Speed Resist Event hosted by Order of the Skull [O^S] OCTOBER 24, 8 AM PST

Do you need Resisting Spells? GM it for free! The Order of the Skull speed resist session is here! It will be hosted at the O^S Training Center, located in the player town of Alluvium, located due east of Britain. The event will kick off next Saturday, October 24th, 2015 Anno Domini. This event will start about 8 AM PST and end when we are out of supplies. We will be using as many casters as we can to make this a short free resist session, ideally < 24 hours, so if you are able to cast, pm Avery or Elhorno (Ideally around 20 casters). Any donations of regs would also be appreciated.


What is a "Resist Session"?
Basically a few GM mages (Casters) line up and shoot spells at a whole bunch of people (Gainers), who gain in the skill Resisting Spells. Gainers can only enter the Training Center as ghosts, but rez's will be provided inside.


Griefing of any type will not be tolerated and will result in the offender being removed from the premises and not allowed back in. Once you are in the gainer or caster areas, you will be locked in. Wandering around the keep will not be possible.

nope.

I would definitely like to attend this amazing service. Do we need to "sign-up" with character names or just show-up and enjoy?

Also, I work 24Oct starting at 630pm until 0700 25Oct. I imagine you will finish before hand but I will not be home. Is this going to be ok? I imagine when you're done you can just boot my chars out of the house if it's ok. They won't have anything on them worth losing if they die.

No need to sign up, just show up, enter as a ghost, and move inside to get rezzed. The room will be set up the day before so even if you work early in the morning, you can stick your characters inside the O^S Training Center the day before and not miss a beat.
And of course you can come retrieve your character whenever, or you could just decide to never leave and hang out in Alluvium forever. The choice is yours.

Will there be a tile for stat reds?

Yep.

You can still die to meteor swarm - we tried a session with about nine casters and within an hour we lost a red at 51 shorts. Just wanted to go ahead and warn you guys apparently the mechanic in place is meant to check someone's health and if it's under 3 then deal no damage with MS/CL. Apparently if the spells are already in the air a death can still happen. (I know this is contrary to the patch notes, just wanted to warn you guys before you experience the same thing we did.)

On second thought, 1 death in 1 hour with 9 casters sounds great. No stat reds are advised to attend this speed resist.

If you are hurting fro casters when the time draws near, PM me and I will send 2.

I noticed this post in another thread. Do you think it would be helpful to be running this macro during the upcoming resist event?
