    Hi guys,

I would like to start doing some easy AMIBs...

    Which template work fine?

    At the moment I have...

    Disco/Tamer
Med/Dexxer (I can reuse this, I don't use too much) but it has 100 Resisting Spells and I wouldn't like to down it.
    Scribe/Mage

Also I have anohter char which I use for dummy/help/gates/rez which I could reuse.
    Wrestling/Anatomy/Healing/Parrying/Hiding/70 Magery/30 Meditation/Skill for select

    Thanks!

When I was fishing, I really enjoyed playing Dexer, but this is pure fan! But for productivity and hatefulness it was good to just play the stealer on a nightmare that needed to be treated and he did an excellent job with the sea monsters!

I had a tamer like that and stayed, only now he has no fishing!

This is my current build, fishing is not relevant now!
Well, this is millet so note if you do not judge strictly and good game to you!

    Regards,

AMIB mobs take reduced damage from pets. You can also only take a mare (or anything else that keeps you under two control slots). Dexxer tamer is doable; I’ve done all 4 as an archer tamer, but it wasn’t for me. Some people love it.

Most people use a Provo dexxer, though.

    Music
    Provo
    Swords or fencing
    Tactics
    Healing
    Anatomy
    Resist or Margery

I use resist because the Quartermasters hurt

What Capt. said. Except I use magery because magic reflect hurts the Quartermasters. And they should never be putting a 2nd spell on you. If they do, you’re doing your provo wrong.

Oh, and I also went with swords, simply because there seem to be a better variety of viable weapons (to find slayers) and katana > anything.

I went with fencing and tbh all of the runs felt faster with swords weapons. May switch back once my sword variety matches fencing.

Some people will throw lumberjacking in place of resist/magery but never tried it myself. The damage is there, though!

Since @Valrick is being modest of his amazing play through and didn't post it, check this out and you won't go wrong. Don't forget to take note of the little tips like healing the lesser mob when provo'd on a tougher npc to use him as your own personal tank. Example, provo a sailor onto a quartermaster and keep healing the sailor while you both take down the tougher guy.

I use lumberjacking myself, and can confirm it works beautifully. The increased damage really drops those tough mobs with the quickness.

    Music
    Provo
    Swordsmanship
    Tactics
    Healing
    Anatomy
    Lumberjacking

I just bring telekinesis scrolls for popping the traps on chests since I don't have magery.

    I use tamer/dexxer

    Swords/tact/anat/heal/tame/lore/vet

Smooth runs as long as you watch where you stand. Mare must be n,s,e or w of mob

No need for instruments. No Provo fails.

So where does the reward come from in doing AMIB's? Is there a large gold drop? rares? plat? slayers? Just wondering how/why they command the prices they do.

The gold is not THAT great. Plus you can't carry THAT much out. If you're banking on getting rares you're going to have a bad time. Rares are VERY capricious and it is not going to be worth it. The plat you get from the instance + the trophy is what determines the value for me. Chest, gold and any rare drops are pretty much icing on the cake. With the reduction in price of plat and the continued high price of red and blue amibs, it no longer makes sense to me to do those AMIBS.

How much plat do you get per run?

    Guaranteed?

    4-5 + 1 on Reds
    6 + 2 on Blues
    8 + 4 on Purples
    8 + 6 on Greens

Sometimes, on purples and greens you can get lucky and the non-treasure guarding bosses (digger and bartender) will respawn. The most I have gotten out was 12 from a purple, plus the 4 from the trophy.

I fish my own, so all profit.
If you use str/refresh potions with exit macros you can carry all gold out. I always loot gold + gems. On a red I loot regs and any vanqs there may be.

Do you have a rough idea gold-wise the value of all the loot you drag out?

I've often considered getting into AMIB's and using a pack animal to carry everything out. But I guess a major source of income it appears is the trophy if you do it ironman, right?

I suppose you could still do Ironman if you brought a pack animal and went in on foot.

Pack mule would be carrying 3-5k outside of what you can carry on foot with str pot active. Not enough gold for me to worry too much honestly. Plus that pack animal would get wrecked if respawns get it

    But yes possible!

Besides what has been listed in plat you can usually get 10-15k gold if you loot most killed mobs and both chests. The loot chests (two loot chests per Amib) act as a level 1 tmap chest and rarely have good weapons/armor. They each have 30-50 of each reg and some decent Wanda

You have 2 control slots. You can take a single pack animal in.
