I remember having a thief mage from the very earliest days of UO:R.

Doing a random steal and targeting a character would often times steal their regs- even if it was within a pouch in their backpack. You did have to pop their trapped pouch first, but doing so opened that bag up for stealing out of it.

You could steal 11 stones, making only the hally unable to steal due to weight.

You would steal the max weight most of the time, because thats how everyone macro'd stealing, by adding to the pile of gold or ingots on their pack horse with appropriate skill/difficulty level.

the dye tubs came way later. a dye tub weighs 10 stones. you can't steal 10 stones with 50 skill.

the uosa and uo:r way of gaining remained largely unchanged.

put 5 bottles in a backpack, steal backpack

every 10 skill add a stone.
