Alex rubbed his temples. A vice surrounded his skull and slowly pushed it inwards. It felt like that, anyway, complete with a blacksmith hammering away on the back of his head. Bits and pieces of the dream came back to him. It felt like so much more than just a dream, though. This felt like he was really there... Visions of the void flitted back to him as the haze of drowsiness waned. In the void was a tome bound in leather and gold. He could not see what was on the tome but he knew... somehow he knew what it was. The Codex of Ultimate Wisdom. The dream somehow made sense to him. He felt like he knew where that place was, even if he couldn't get there... yet. He ran his fingers over his heavy eyelids. In the morning he would begin his journey to recover the Codex...
Dear Antos, If you have seen my journey in your mind, much as I have, then perhaps we share this common bond or we have both been chosen by some unseen power for this expedition. I do not know yet what it entails or what the outcome will be. It might be dangerous. We might never return to this Realm. The urge to seek out the Codex is strong, it is like an ethereal force pushes me forward from behind. I do not know if any of this is related to the happenings at the Shrines and that demon of a man, but the timing I feel is more than coincidental. The length of the journey I sense will be long, and as such I need time to prepare my physical estate to be placed in trusted hands before leaving on this endeavor. I will be in touch... and thank you. -Lord Alex Caember The King's Steward of the Great Council
The Gods smile upon you both for your continued vigilance against the scourge of evil that has befallen the shrines.
