Suggestion for improving begging skill

    Hi, this is what I have been thinking about since 1998 when I first played uo.
    I think it will be really fun if begging is interactive with players.
    How about making GM beggars have chance to make players donate a few coin? possible with longer interval than normal skill interval.
    Of course it will be gold, and possibly some food, bandages, potions and etc whatever inside backpack, even some item that was in his/her pocket unaware of by owners!! like legendary begged item. :D)
    Begged gold shall have limit of up to 50 gold as maximum. If player was begged once, cannot be begged again for long period time.

    This is basic idea.
    How do you guys think?
    I think this idea agrees with original Ultima Online concept very well.
    And I even think it was going to be realized if original Ultima Online was going to succeed longer.
    Let me know what you guys think.

    Actually, it would be cool to tie it in with the virtue of Humility somehow.

    Yeah as long as it is introduced with measure to prevent harassing players it will be great roleplaying item imo.
    Maybe karma is affected toward begging chance.
    If you are a good guy, you may have more chance to be succesfully begged, bad guys have lower chance to be begged.

    * Only GM beggars can beg from real humans.

    * Performs a steal attempt limited to, and which randomly selects between, gold, potions, food items, bandages, and reagents.

    > Success rate similar to GM thieves, but with stack amounts reduced by 25%

    > Ignores containers (since the character is "begging" not stealing.)

    > No penalty regardless of success or failure, or gray only to the victim.

    * Extremely small chance of some kind of "legendary beggar item" when begging from player characters. Perhaps one beggar would pull such an item per month? Per week?

    * May only be used on each "donor" character once per 24 hours.

    * Guild membership not required.

    * Successful begging gains humility (Maximum of 10 points in 24 hours, 3 at any one time).

    > Using a humility point would prevent aggressive NPCs from attacking the beggar (unless s/he attacks them first or steals from them) for... say... 2 minutes?
