OverRated [oR} will be summoning the Harrower on Saturday 1/18 at 8pm CST. This event is open to all players. I will definitely be there! Next time we will have a poll for the time we summon the Horrower. Currently polls are disabled in "player events" thread, but Tela said he would fix that for next time. I hope that all of you can make it as this should truly be a fun event. Thanks to all who have put forth all of their time to make this a possibility for the rest of the shard. -HC
This will be my first, but from what I've heard, archers are great for attacking the tentacles. Otherwise, bring a mage and use meteor swarm. Pets can be used on the Harrower after all the tentacles are down.. Somebody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
This is pretty much accurate. MS/archery are the best for tentacles, and dragons are the best vs. the true harrower. Expect your pets to die, and expect to die yourself. Most healing that will be done on the pets will have to come from GHeals, since you won't be able to get close to vet (the true harrower will pull you in from something like 9 tiles away and insta-kill you). Wish it were later, I won't be able to make it at 8.
Maybe I just got lucky last time, but I stood right next to my pets the whole time they were attacking harrower and never got pulled in
With an orcish bow, you can shoot the tentacles from 12 tiles away (as opposed to 10 with normal bows). It takes two arrows per shot, but it's a damn fine way to avoid getting nabbed.
