    Hello everyone,

Does anyone have exp running a template including weapon skills but without or non gm tactics perhaps 50 skill level?

I am considering a LJ template with:

    100 Magery
    90 Med
    90 Resist
    90 Eval
    100 Sword
    100 Anat
    100 LJ
30 (50-55 with accurate weapon) Tactics

I am curious as to opinions on the viability of this.

    Any input is appreciated, thanks.

You will do less damage than with 50 LJ 100 Tactics

    Consider:
    0 Tactics: 50% Damage
    50 Tactics: 100% Damage
    100 Tactics: 150% Damage

So you loose 1/3 of your damage by only going with 50 Tactics.

Also you forgot Healing at all, how to keep your health up?

Better drop Meditation. If it's about PvP, you wont need meditation, better go 7xGM e.g.
    100 Magery
    100 Resist
    100 Eval
    100 Sword
    100 Anat
    100 Tac
    100 Healing

A PvE Template could look like this:
    100 LJ
    100 Sword
    100 Anat
    100 Tac
    100 Healing
    100 Music
    100 Provo

You are talking about skill points - but also consider your stats.
Without very high dex you do very much less damage in melee
Without very high int (which for a mage usually is 100) you can only cast much less spells and it also has effect on your mana regeneration rate.

The PvP template @Anarchy suggested looks very interesting. Some people have also discussed med fencers in the past I think:

    GM Fencing
    GM Tactics
    GM Anatomy
    GM Healing
    GM Resist
    GM Magery
    GM Meditation

The purpose for med here is to add extra heals I gather. I don't PvP though, so can't offer much advice here, just repeating what others said.

As for the provo LJ PvE template I'd go for 70 LJ and 30 Magery probably so you can recall off of scrolls, unless it's only for instances. No magery is annoying and you have near zero chance of escaping even a barely competent PK.

TLDR: No one ever recommends less than 80 tactics on any warrior.

    Thanks for the info.

I will take it into consideration.

I will be testing a lower tactics skill just to see what happens and adjust from there.

You mention dropping Med and I have one question about that.

Does Med skill or lack thereof effect mana regen rate when not using the active meditation skill (but still wearing full medable armor)?

Yes, passive mana regeneration is also affected by meditation skill.

However wearing any armor other than plain leather will crush your mana regen no matter what your meditation skill is.

    Thanks for the replies.

One final question regarding which is a larger modifier tactics or anatomy.

In a template with swords (not concerned with concussion blow) but without healing would it be better to have higher tactics or anatomy as a damage modifier?

Previous threads have said that tactics is more important, if healing isn't a factor.
