Hello. Yesterday I was attempting on my GM Tailor to create barbed bone armor.

I have my tailoring kit set to PROMPT FOR MARK, so when I make an exceptional one, the gump shows up asking if I'd like to mark it.

As I was making bone leggings, I ran into this scenario in which I was prompted to mark the item: I clicked OK, and afterwards the sewing kit menu told me that I have 'Failed and Lost some of my Materials.' And looking into my sack, it did not produce any leggings.

So, in this instance which is it? Did I craft the item exceptionally, or did I not craft it at all?

The prompt only pops up for leather if it's exceptional. I use that all the time when making suits. I hadn't made many bone so it could be a bug.

No. I failed some pieces, like normal. I made some regular leggings, like normal. And i got prompted for Mark and generated named, exceptional leggings.

And also the prompt/failed paradox would occur. Which really sucks because bone is expensive to acquire time-wise

This should typically be the norm for all tailored objects, only prompting for exceptional.

Maybe it's an exceptional failure. Haha, probably the exc/normal check is done before the failure/success check?

Concerning the Schroedinger Cat: nah, that's a different thing. I am restraining myself of elaborating in detail though. Reminds me of work I have to do instead of hanging out in forums. :p

Yeah. I think that's a bit out of order, if that's the case.

I'm inside the test center, and thank you @Chris for placing the bone spawner.

On my first attempt at making the barbed, bone leggings I was presented with the glitch.

Reference 1: Journal (you mark the item) sysmessage
Reference 2: Tailoring gump (you failed, lost material)
    Reference 3: no bone leggings

I will run this a buncha more times and record my results; you know... science-ifically

FailoringBoneleg_12-1_22.07.jpg I just tried making bone armor chest pieces, and was met with the same glitch.

    Bone tailoring is broken.
