Landlubbers can't do anything right. We pirates have been fighting rats since before the chicken AND the egg! May I suggest rats as an alternative? Oh ho and any landlubber who be wishin to make his pockets lighter can make a side bet against me rat.
Ty for the input Rex, Give me a while and I have a rat for you to fight. I used to run a cock fighting club on atlantic back in the day. started out in the fields of West Brit. Then moved to top of tower. Played for regs and bandies, ended up having a purse of 5-10k. Well, since chickens don't do damage here I'll ask the community if dragons/mare fights would draw participants. Rules: Fight till dead Single eliminations, winners move up. 100 k winner 50k second place. No entry fees Bonded welcome. We know you don't want to lose the 2-3% skills on death, but there's always more farming to do. Your being paid to train him again. We could have mares as opening fights and dragons as main event. I don't know if a WW class would work due to mass curse? Wouldn't want to attack several tamers with 2 dragons each on guard. That could get messy. If theres enough interest in this idea, The Tamer & Bard Association Guild will love to sponsor the event. Free for all to come, with open bar on first floor.
If you're going to make it tamers only you should try dire wolves. I did some testing after we had the [cA]ck fight and found the results to be satisfying. As long as nothing's changed since then the damage to hit points ratio on dire wolves makes for a moderate length fight with enough randomness that a higher trained wolf won't necessarily win. I think you'll have a better turn out and it'll help the dark wolf population as well.
ty for the tip, if people really dont want to fight their dragons and show off how badass there trained, we might go to Dire Wolves. Is 100k 1st place to low?
Dogs can work, and I think Slimes too. As a rule of thumb, anything with avg damage in the compendium that's half (or more) than their AR should work. Both of these can be tamed by a tamer and transferred and commanded by someone with 0.0 taming skill.
I was about to say this -- we spent AN ENTIRE LAN PARTY testing which animals were best. Dire wolves were by far the most exciting.
Is that because they are the closest in size and shapes to Manatees? "Barbara Manatee!! You are the one for me!!" (if you get that reference then you are probably a parent)
Wyrms don't cast mass curse. This isn't UOSA. You could def do wyrm fights. I'd actually be more interested in seeing wyrms and dragons in the same class, up to the takers choice of which he would rather use.
