I attained a tomb requesting I acquire some scrolls for an old, and perhaps senile, wizard. Apparently the old man was is in Hidden Valley and forgetful. The magician requested 2 healing, 4 create food, and 1 flamestrike scroll. While not fond of the magic arts, I considered what rewards and adventures I might encounter. I decided to place the book in my bank and set out to Hidden Valley to find these scrolls. I am concerned that the quest may taint me given my suspect of the dark studies.

I made it to Hidden Valley and heard footsteps around a tower adorned by two statues. I inquired about scrolls to the voices within however given our separation, a transaction proved impossible. I also had no gold and the voice would not accept my honest credit nor barter. I set forth to Trinsic for some gold I had acquired from previous adventures.

After visiting the banker, I sought advice from the mages at the Encyclopedia but they ignored me! In lieu, I searched the many tombs housed there. I soon learned of a secret cave and teleporter thus returned to Valley with the retrieved gold and knowledge.

Fortunately, I found the cave, teleporter, and mages within! Tanner the mage sold me the scrolls I needed except for the Flamestrike spell scroll. Dastards! I considered my options then returned to Trinsic to ponder further.

I then traveled to Project Sanctuary, however the resident scribe was unavailable for the final piece of the puzzle. The scribe at the Encyclopedia didn't have one either so I must find a grandmaster scribe to assist me. I set forth to Ocllo since the village is usually teeming with folks.

After looking at some of the local vendors with no luck in Ocllo, I asked some of the patrons banking for a scribe in hire. A kind gentleman named Rhino lead me to Yew where he showed me many scribe vendors, however there were no Flamestrike scrolls. Again thwarted! My hope was evaporating after checking many of the other vendors in the area.

I made my way to Skara Brae where my frustration dwelled. A spell of such power would be held on a beast I wasn't capable of defeating. After some time and thought, I made my to the mages in Magenica. Surely, they will have this scroll the forgetful wizard sought. But nay!!!

I returned to Skara Brae, then to Project Sanctuary. The neighborhood scribe was not to be seen however I did encounter Lord Krake and a compatriot named Misery. While neither could assist me in my immediacy and exhaustion, Misery sent a bird out to a friend then shared her toiled tale of the evening regarding a Forest Troll and murderers. What am I getting myself into...

After Lord Krake departed and Misery & I bid generous farewells, I was contacted by a messenger asking about my inquiries of the scroll! I heldfast at the Guildhall and was greeted by kind gentleman who provided the last piece... the last scroll. Once acquired, I took a quick rest at The Falconer's Inn, then proceed to the Southern Settlement of Paws. I proudly left the sought parchments where instructed wondering what fate would become of me.

As stated earlier, my skepticism of the magic arts and undead is still... holds much wary within.
