All you need to know about YEW's CASINO NIGHTS! As a lot of you must already be aware of, I have been working hard since the holidays to organize the Grand Opening of Yew's Casino with a proper event. Coding Frank the dice-bot took a lot of work and is still running 24/7 at the establishment after many, many bug tests. I have been pretty busy and nowhere close to organize the opening but I can now announce that it is on it’s way. HYPE! The Casino is conveniently located in an L-SHAPE, two screens away from Yew’s Gate and Bank. It currently features the server’s only fully-automated dice-bot which allows you to bet 10, 25 or 50k in the form of a check to double your gold. Alrho every table has it’s rulebook, you can also learn all about it by clicking the picture below: Frank the Dice Bot Rules: The Casino now has an improved security macro to make sure thieves and reds get an automatic ban. It’s also taking care of revealing players and is more effective than ever! Actually, most scoundrels won’t even have the time to cross the door. I have written an extensive guide for the Casino Staff and should start the training soon. Once it’s done, we’ll be able to release a date and that’s where the real fun begins. The Casino ''Guild'' In order to establish trust between the staff and visitors, a guildstone has been placed inside the Casino. This way, players will be able to easily recognize trusted dealers and avoid scammers. Only a handful of trusted members will be selected to be part of the staff and this will serve as a stamp of approval, if you will. You should only answer to Dealers baring the YCS tag unless friends of the house are helping to keep everything in order. Table Games The backroom of the first floor includes 2 player-ran tables with a bit more complex dice games. Most of them are fairly simple but couldn't be automated since the casino allows three players per table. Games include BlackJack, High / Low, Chuck and Beat the Bank. High-stake gamblers are invited to sit at the North table as I will be the one running it (as Ziggy Stardust) and more funds are invested there. Please read the rulebooks before sitting at a table so you understand what you’re in for. You can ask the dealer if you have any questions but this will prevent wasting the other players’ time. Again, I have made the rules handy for you, right here on the forums! Just click the following picture. Dice games rules: The game can now begin! Please keep your seat to facilitate the Dealer’s job as he will most likely work turns clockwise. Please respect the dealer and wait until you are asked to roll the dice BlackJack BlackJack is a bit more complicated for the dealer. It is possible that a table does not accept it if your Dealer feels like he’s too intoxicated to run it properly, haha. Did I mention we also have complimentary drinks? Animal Fights Animal fights have a bit more restrictions as of the bets. Since the purpose is to offer a fair fight (without any player being able to lore the contestants beforehand), the most logical way of handling things is to have two random summoned creatures fight one another. Contrary to the other casino games, the casino income on this game comes only from the entrance fee to the fights. In order to make things as simple as possible, each player must be asked to pay an entry fee of 5k (in check form) along with their bet. Having a smaller entry fee would require gold as the minimum check allowed by the bank is set to 5,000gp and gold is less secure and heavier. Animal fights rules: SLOTS Depending on the Casino funds, slots are also available to visitors. I’m sure most of you are familiar with the concept! Vendors are set to sell locked crates containing prizes. 10k slots have 50% odds of getting from 15 to 50k back. 25k slots have the same odds to get a cashback from 15 to 100k. Hyped yet? ‘Cause that’s not all! Along with animal fights, the second floor features a bar and private tables for players wishing to play one on one. A barkeeper, working chessboard and a pair of dice will be available there. CONCLUSION I started a few threads in the past concerning this project and this shall be the last one.
