The "Robin Hood Run For Your Stuff!" Event

Dear new and poor players, hello.

I like to ki... I mean, hug people. I hug them so strongly that sometimes they pass out and let items in their bodies.
As a nice person, I store the items at my house. But nobody ever comes to claim for them.

I am starting to have lots and lots of useless stuff for me, but great things for you, such as combat weapons, armors, decoration items, wands and other things that monster fighters love.

So I thought: instead of having lots of things, or throwing them away, why shouldn't I share them with the poor and new players?

Voilá! A new idea emerges.

So I ask you, new and poor players: would you like to participate in a Robin Hood event?



The event:

I will throw all the things I don't want on the roof of my new tower;
20 players will be allowed to enter the tower;
A table will be locked, preventing players from reaching the roof;
When I say "Run for your stuff!", the table will be unlocked;

You will be able to loot everything and anything you are able to hold in your body;
Put them all in a bag;
Once you are heavy, give the bag to me and I will place it on a safe room;
Go back there and loot again;
Only 2 times allowed per player.

Done! When everybody has their bags full the event is over.
Important: You can drop the bag on the floor to get your 125 items (instead of being heavy), but it will allow other players to get your stuff.

Players will have 10 minutes per bag, so you will be able to choose your items carefully.
Then the time is up I will warn. If you keep looting you WILL be murdered.

Since there is no free lunch, I will charge a simbolic price of 3.000gp for everybody who participates.
Yea... there is a price... If the event works, I will use this money to buy more decor items and stuff for the second event. I am also accepting donations.

What kind of items will you find there?

• Weapons (power and vanquishing too, YES!)
• Armors (including Invulnerability)
• Wands
• Decoration Items
• Bulk Order Deed Items
• And many, many other things (open to ideas)

All of the items WILL BE identified, so you won't have to bring your ID wand.

How about if you are not new and wants to participate?
Well, I won't be checking if you are new or not. If you think this will be fun or profitable for you, enjoy.

All players will be gated safely to store their things at the bank or at their houses (please, bring a rune).
But if you want to, you can bet your items at the end.
How will it work?
When the event is over, I will ask if you want to be part of the "super roulette";
Who says "Yes" will have your bags confiscated;
We will summon a blade spirits to kill all of the players, BUT ONE;
If you are the lucky bastard, you will be able to keep ALL OF THE OTHER BAGS of the players that wanted to join the "super roulette" event.

As a suggestion, I'd add that you should give people 2 books for them to write their chars name in, and put one in each of their bags. That way when you store them you know who gets what bag. For them not to travel far, you could set up a table barrier on the same roof and have a "banker" char behind the table barrier just tossing the bags out of the reach of the other participants.

So if I understand correctly, you are going to to have 20 players, at the same time, on the roof running around and looting up goods? Or are the 20 players going to enter 1 by 1 and have 10 minutes each?

If its the former, I suggest having them all enter as ghosts and then rezzing them, so as to keep out the riff raff who will just come in and cast BS on everyone (or EV or something else).

If its the latter, how will the order be decided?

Also, when is this event? Date? Time?

I applaud you for giving back to the community! Looking forward to hearing more details.

Not decided yet. I want to hear your opinions. The event is for you, guys.
Once we are set we can decide. I suggest on weekends so more people will be able to participate.


Important reminder:
The super-roulette-try-your-luck-at-the-end-of-the-event is NOT mandatory.
It is just an extra, only for people who want to participate.
If you think that you looted great stuff and don't want to be part of it, you will be able to take your things safely.


Don't want to participate but want to watch?
I am also considering having an area for people who wants to watch the event.
Probably a fee will be charged (such as 5 items, worth at least 500gp each, that will be thrown at the arena). Any ideas?

Try matching the times with europeans aswel as americans etc cause i cant participate at most events because they are usually in the middle of the night for me

To follow up a bit on Ponne's suggestion, maybe instead of doing 1 event with 20 people, maybe run the event two times with 10 people each at two different times in the day, something like that?

yeah that would be great and you can sort of time it with the timezones and the people who wants to join!

Roulette sounds fun, should make a separate event for that as well. Deer hunter it up.
