Hello! Majestic here. I normally don't write posts to complain about anything in game. Mostly because it causes drama that isn't really needed. I do have a request though. If the person that is killing mares because they don't *Suit* your needs as far as stats. Please stop and let some of the newer players tame a few. What's an extra hour on the mare spawn timer? Would greatly appreciate it! Happy gaming!

I think that's the exact reason why they are killing them... They want to be in control of timings and know precisely when to come back.

Yes this is most likely the case.

Camp it, scout the recall spot, drop boxes. Or you could release a couple of dragons around the spot for good times. Cyclops N is a good spot for this.

The only way to beat persistence is with persistence of your own.

Also, bring a ghost to check for ghosting.

    Hey,

We ran around the Oasis earlier. Just to let you know was not me. Did not see any mares today and would not kill them if I had.

Pretty messed up thing to do really.

If it continues you may consider posting the time and location you found the dead mare. I Imagine this could be quite annoying for them. Also perhaps we should begin a collective bounty for a video of whoever is doing it so they can be publicly shamed.

One thing I just thought of. If you found the dead mare near titans then it may not have been a player who killed it, and worse yet, it could have been a really high-stat mare.

I could be wrong but I don't think the cyclops and titans will auto attack a grey animal. They will attack a blue such as the healer at the teleporter but I have seen things such as desert ostards very close to them around Oasis and not being attacked.

Mares are still dying to monsters. It is not someone killing them.

I have seen 3 attack/be attacked by titans/cyclopses, and have been able to save only one.

Is this something that has changed? I have seen other monsters such as giant spiders attacking a timber wolf and thought it was strange because it was something I had not seen before.

There is no specific mare timer. It is 12-36 hours. So anybody that thinks they have it timed up will be disappointed.

I see a lot of spider vs wolf action too.

I just assumed they had an interapiecies beef.

I believe in some cases (like the timber wolf) it is because it was tamed at one time and it kept the "tame" flag. I have seen some usually agressive mobs (like giant toads) not attack after they have been pre-tamed. Not sure if it happens when they go wild overtime or they are released.

In the case of mares, I believe they are perceived as naturally evil, something similar to what fluffies and leprechauns were. I also think that is why I (not sure what everyone else's experience is) VERY rarely see a mare in Theratan Keep. Those avengers and knight-errants can chew them up fast.

Titans and nightmares are at war against each other, they will always auto attack each other, Unless it is changed in the in game mechanics.

I always assumed this was the case. A released tame is attacked by mobs. I've seen new spawns go hours roaming around without being attacked before they were tamed and taken away. When I did see one being attacked, I was not there to see it spawn.

Got two today. Including stealing a pure from the Cyclops'. Depends on the spawn in the area when the mare appears which is pretty random. One cylops and one titan today and neither close enough to attack the mare.
