    We will have prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd

    PhotoShop etc is allowed
Screens taken in-game are preferred but not compulsory
Please don't just post random pictures!
    Please stay on topic.

Closing Date: 10/31/2016 at midnight (I tally "votes" sometimes a day late, just fyi)

*Without staff intervention (i.e. Samorite taking this over again) the winners will be judged based upon the amount of likes each picture receives. The winning pictures/names will be submitted to Telamon for trophy creation.

    NEW RULES:
Ok guys, I'm not a staff member or moderator. However, I'm going to start running this contest again but with some changes to assist in player moderation.
In the past I have had trouble regulating each Top Shots thread to remain on topic unsuccessfully. I no longer want to bother staff with cleaning up off topic non sense, thus, new rules.

These rules are to assist with moderation and hopefully keep Top Shots on topic with zero trash talk. Please take your gripes to Trash Talk. Your issues with me, my friends, staff or your marital problems belong in Trash Talk, not in Top Shots. I'm not doing this for me, this is for the community.

    1. Top Shots is to benefit the community, not to benefit your ego. PvP kill shots, house looting, thievery, idocs, are all
acceptable submissions. However, Keep your gloating to a reasonable level.
    2. Engaging in trash talk, derailing Top Shots, or just being a negative nancy is going to result in a violation.
    3. Initial violations are given a warning. Repeat offenders will find their submissions and votes negated for that month. Consistent violations will earn a permanent "ban" from Top Shots.

Your assistance in keeping this valuable community resource an ongoing and fun program is appreciated. Thanks, good luck, and have fun!

Some moons ago I was fortunate enough to find a box filled with a mad pirate's ravings. Among them, numerous drunkenly penned maps indicating various, *ahem* points of "interest". The fool had fear that he'd one day forget the location of his own blood-soaked coins and barbarian trinkets. Intoxicated upon his own arrogance, he allowed such maps to fall into the hands of enterprising fiends and from they to men of great wisdom who saw fit to sell them to mine own self in search of coinage... Or perhaps for fear of those occult figures which might remain to protect such teeming hordes of jewel and spice. But the inscription of one such parchment held a secret more dark than even a swashbuckler such as I could imagine. Perhaps, even darker than could be known unto that scheming villain himself...

This story began early one morning when a compatriot and I set about with our trusty steeds in search of buried treasure! It was a morning apparently no different from any other, save a slight floral scent in the wind and dreams of golden booty.

We took the steeds to a brisk gallop and found a promising patch of earth. Though the treasure had no doubt been buried for many years the soil felt somehow hollow beneath my boots. I descended from my silver and slammed my shovel deep into the welcoming earth, reaching a promising "pop" sound.

Suddenly my vision began to fade. I could hear the wind rushing past me and the sweat beginning to boil off my forehead. A ringing began in my ears and my knees turned to jelly. But most of all, I felt a deep rage within me. This rage was far more frightful than any beast which I had previously faced in my many travels towards gold and glory. The accursed treasure map then spoke to me itself! Singing a surreptitious siren's song it was...

It serenaded me in a voice so sickly sweet as to cake mine piteous ears in saccharine rocks of pure, gleaming MADNESS.

This tale and the painting, drawn by a bard of mine own party, tell thee of that day truly and unedited by arts neither decorative nor magical.

For that day, the map called to me, my friends... Warning me... BECKONING ME...

THOU HAST LAIN HANDS UPON THE GRAVEN IMAGE OF TRAMMEL!!

Last month it was Barracoon. Today Mephitis on my mage without tamers.

Background story: I spawned it together with 3 other tamers on my tamer, but when tier 4 was reached, they kinda gave up out of fear without even trying it. Shortly afterwards a red appeared and I left too. The next time I checked, Mephitis was up and nobody around. Naturally I got my fun mage out and started messing around with the Champ.

To be honest, it was much easier than killing Barracoon and less tricky. It turned out that Mephitis doesn't dispell and the problem was already solved. Took me 20 minutes in total. No detailed guide needed, the screenshots explain it all.
Result: 130k, several thousand regs, 7 platinum coins, a venom skull.

    What Champ will be next?

Straight copy of my latest adventure out of the thieving thread. Make some noise!

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like Forts. They are huge, and it's usually like Candyland for thieves - you want to open every chest and grab what's in there as fast as possible until your stomach turns and you get dizzy. Plus, one is robbing established veterans. They should know it better, and hopefully won't rage too much when pixels are lost.

Yesterday two forts have been looted as far as I know. One by me, done the classic gentleman stealthed house looting way. The other one with much more nefarious methods, but that one's tale is not to be told here and not by me as I wasn't involved.

So, this is how my tale begins: A fishing tournament started today and people were out on the oceans. I was like:

But while preparing I saw a gate appearing in Nu'Jelm... and had to hop it.

[UO]Watermelon was three-boxing lvl6 maps. He was pretty reckless against these ancient wyrms, but had no valuable items like platin or further lvl6 maps on him. Thus, when he seemed busy I took the 10k out of the chest, and stealthed away. He didn't see me. I thought he would realize that his gold was missing and I kept a safe distance to observe further.

    1.jpg

Well, instead of reveals and/or the typical name-calling, he opened a gate. I thought I will end up at a bank, the adventure would be over and I could finally hunt some fisherman. Au contraire! It just started.

    2.jpg

I did end up in a stuffed Fort! I quickly stealthed away to the east, where I couldnt be seen anymore even when revealed.

    3a.png [IMG]

Well the detection never happened. I started to relax and checked out the Candyshop.

    3.jpg
Obviously, basic security was up. The real juicy stuff was in secure containers, locked down or behind closed doors. However many valuable items, mainly usable ressources were in my reach.

Meanwhile, he gated in and out several times, probably doing more treasure maps. Gates from tmap spots that went directly into the fort, not the CY. There were plenty chances to detect me and much reason to start using Detect Hidden. At one point, I expected fellow thieves to appear with that gating habbit...

    4.jpg

Finally, I started transporting the valuable loot out of the fort into safer vaults.

    5.jpg

It took me roughly 1 hour to collect and gate all the items of interest out. Although the real interesting items were secure, the result is still noteworthy and roughly worth 3mil.

    6.jpg

As mentioned in the beginning, it is fun to loot massive buildings. Once you are in, you get a massive adrenaline rush. Unlimited possibilities await you in each container. And will you be able to gate everything you want out before the inevitable detection happens? Basic security concepts of strategically placed secure containers and locked doors were in place and prevented the worst for our fellow player. I think a loss of ~3mil in value is a good price for a security check on a massive house and a friendly reminder to reconsider the obvious flaws.

Disclaimer: No fishers were harmed this day by me.

That's nothing a Valorite spear can't take care of. His loot proofs he was a dupe though.
