Trouble logging in "Couldn't connect..."

I for some reason can't connect to the server. It was working find last night now I get the message,"Couldn't connect to Ultima Online. Please try again in a few moments." So far I've just reinstalled but to no avail. Any ideas?

Ah well that's a bummer, but also relieving. Is that the usual message for down server? Or is there somewhere else to check?

Can always try to ping the login server. Open up a command prompt and type "ping login.uorenaissance.com"

That's what I did - then went onto IRC and they said it was down

Server is back up again, as of about 20 minutes ago. We rolled back to a save about 10 minutes before the server went down.

You can't ping the login server; ICMP requests are blocked so you will always get no response. Your best bet is to check on irc -- theres always people in there keeping others abreast of current server status when these things are going on.
