Upgrade your Tmap Libraries

    Is it just me, or do you have to open at least 2-3 runebooks before you find the one with the right Tmap number in it?

    I got so fed up with this I made a new system! You can see in the screenshots below.

    The key is to just group them in 10s, so 10 runes-per-book. Sure, you don't utilize the full 16 runes-per-book but it is much easier to manage.

    Because they are grouped in 10, you can also eyeball which PAGE the rune is.

    eg.

    166. You know it is book 16, 3rd page.
    188. Book 18, 4th page.

    With this system, there are a total of 20 runebooks, and the player can just eyeball which one is the correct one!! EASY!!

    NEVER OPEN MULTIPLE TMAP BOOKS AGAIN!

    EDIT:
    Notice in each book I have the last rune as the "zeroth" one. This is on purpose so that you can flip through the book easier by dividing by 2 (eg. 18 is on page 4).

    I have my runebooks names 1-16, 17-32, I just click the books to find the right one before I open it. :D

    I was recently thinking of taking the time to build my own t-map set. I think I like this idea!
    The nice 4x5 even grid of books would look good on a wall too. I dig it

    Exactly! So if you need 170, you can eyeball it, and immediately know its in:

    Code:

    I just click the titles and some I remember now and dont even need to check the book!

    Nice.... I always hated the odd number of books that makes it difficult to make it look good!

    I am more lazy, as I group many spots into a single rune and walk from there with all chars needed. One rune is called 167-170 as all those spots are close by and it is marked in between them and another to 40-47 as they are all very close to each others and this way, I do not need 20 books but maybe 4-5 all together when I am done or something like that? I started with this a couple of weeks back and I only mark those spots that I have maps for, at least so far. :) But I agree that it looks impressive with a 20 books library but you must agree about that it is a waste of 7 runes for spot 40-47. :)

    I zoom in with UOAM anyway as I get closer to the spot and I do not want all chars to be close to the chest anyway, specially not my tamer.

    For those using using other players layouts. You can also divide the map # by 16 and add 1. The solution will tell you what book to open (traditional 16 runes per book Tmap layout only).

    For example:

    Map #142
    142 / 16 = 8.875
    8.875 + 1 = 9
    Map #142 is in Book 9.

    Map #80
    80 / 16 = 5
    5 + 1 = 6
    Map #80 is in Book 6

    Map #190

    190 / 16 = 11.875
    11.875 + 1 = 12
    Map #190 is in Book 12

    Condition: You wouldn't add +1 for runes 1-16, as they're obviously in Book 1.

    Obviously, you use a calculator but knowing what book to open should take less time than clicking through them with this simple equation.

    It generally takes my brain a one-time 1-2 seconds delay to figure out any ridiculous t-map library setup that anyone comes up with, and then move on with my life.
