I placed a vendor on the wrong tile. I forgot it placed where I was standing rather than giving me a targeting pointer. I used the command "replace," following the vendor's name, but it did not re-deed my vendor. Instead, the vendor disappeared and all that was left was a backpack containing that vendor's clothes. So, is there a new command that I should know about, or are vendors no longer re-deedable?
This is actually a bug, using the vendor replace command should return to you the contract deed which would allow you to replace him in another location. This is currently on the list for a fix.
