Couldn't help but to share with you guys. A little more than 2 months ago I joined the shard, I love decorating and it's pretty much been my main goal since then. Farming dungeons and liches with nothing more than a Peace / Dexxer! It's been hard work but it's really starting to payoff. Still a work a progress as carpet is super expensive for a newcomer.. I want to dye most of the furniture black and it won't be easy either, ha. Thanks to everybody who helped me getting started and answered my questions as I haven't played UO in ten years.. Lemme know what you think! Oh, and of course it looks way better at night with all those lights and candles hehe
Looks great! I envy your desire to decorate a house... something I've just never had the patience/desire for. I'm really missing out on a big part of UO methinks. I'm glad to see someone that appreciates "dark nights"... did you know torch light is different than candle/lamp light? Also, have you ever played around with hidden communication crystals (turned on)... neat red or green glow off those.
Really nice set up I'm trying my hand at deco for the first time myself. No where near as nice... I like your fireplace!
It sure is one aspect of the game I love! I never saw an online RPG with do many possibilities. And yes! I know about the crystals but never came across one.. originally that's what I wanted to use for the fireplace. Are they expensive? I'd love to be rich enough to buy a brazier instead but I think that's gonna have to wait, haha. Casted firewall in the stairs and dropped it over. A bit shameful but did waste a minute of GM time to raise it two hits more... haha. Don't do this too often, kids! GM time is valuable!
Ya just for future reference, if you placed a foot stool down and raised it those 2 ticks, then walked ontop of it and then casted the firefield on yourself, you could have done it alone. Basically raise the firefield 2 ticks.
Looks great @Medieval Name . For myself, the villa was always the hardest home to decorate but you've done an excellent job.
From one fellow decoer to another great job so far sir! I love the realistic design. You still have many months to prepare for next year's deco contest.. hope to see your entry!
Thanks! Yeah.. it's a shame I couldn't apply! I joined a week or two before the shard anniversary.. haha
