It has always been a goal of mine to own this house on UO. It looks pretty vacant right now. Anyone know who owns it and could put me in touch with them? I'd like to talk about buying it off of them..
Ruck owns it and pulled it from the market when no one bought it previously (this is my op to say I TOLD YOU TO BUY IT) totally worth 3 mil for that spot. You guys will pay millions for a special colored night slip for your chars to prance around in and then scoff when someone wants a fair price for a one of a kind house lol. Nerds.
There is a reason not a single one of Rucks houses he recently put up for sale has even received a bid. They are way over priced, maybe not historically, but in the current market.
The glow log was way over priced. The bucs den tower spot is unique though and worth every bit of 3 mil. It's steep, but it's a great piece of property. Before you complain about his asking price, look at what mask dyes and that other nonsense sells for Anyhow, not my house/problem, but I think he priced that a little high, but perfectly fair.
I suppose since this is your thread and not his sale thread, it's fair for me to say here that I think 3M for that house is insane. Buc's is pretty inconsequential on this shard, given that we have factions and potentially some Order/Chaos. Likewise with the Brit Graveyard houses that command high values on other shards. IMO, 500k over deed would be a reasonable starting bid for it.
It's worth three million to the right person. I wouldn't pay 20k for a mask dye but others pay bucket loads. In my eyes it's a fair price for a one of a kind house.
When all of these spots are taken, and you have to live on ice island, a swamp, or some out of the way place, 3 mil isn't so bad. And if it's going to be your perm residence for you to put hours and hours of work into, it's a small price to pay. 3 mil is chump change in the long run of things.
It's a great house, I want it, but there's no practical reason for me to spend 3mil on it. Perfect for someone that spends a lot of time househiding though. On OSI servers all the houses like this or the yew gate houses were packed with househiding scrubs shooting ebolts from windows.
Why the focus on house hiders and pvp? I'd look at it as one of the better tower spots in the game and would want to deco it and make it look nice, and enjoy my teleporting from the roof to the teleporter and short run to the bank.
3 mask dyes - 3 mil or more (and will always drop more in the future) 1 bucs den tele tower - only one of those, no more drops unless the house itself drops
I'm just a fan of the spot, I'm probably overselling it, but if I could afford to buy it and hoard it, I most certainly would
