I was surprised to see that there is a 400 stones limit on secure containers... I don't think this was ever the case on OSI/EA servers.

The oldest UO stratics page on housing I can find ( http://web.archive.org/web/200204081247 ... ndex.shtml ) has:
And this is still the case for the current page.

Why is there such a limit?
I want to be able to stach as much boards/ingots/regs as I want in my house ! :)

As fa as I remember the server rules, Items will not decay in a house when not locked down.
So you just can throw your stuff in an edge and leave it there.
To be finaly sure, please ask a staff member.

We are using the housing mechanics from the T2A era, pre release of Trammel. Secure containers have a weight limit of 400 stones, and 125 items. Locked down containers have a limit of 125 items, but do not have a weight limitation. Any items stored in a "locked down" container (locked down, unsecure) can be freely accessed & taken by anyone, so it is important to protect your housing & it's content against any possible intruders.
