Listen up, Gumshoes!! Carmen Sandiego has just robbed the Trinsic bank! The banker was able to provide us the info on what was stolen: 3 Platinum 30 Holiday 300 Silver 3000 Gold Various rares and power/vanq weapons! It is up to you, Gumshoes, find out where she has gone and what you get is yours to keep! She is sneaky, ensure she is still on the grid by checking the profile: http://www.uorenaissance.com/?page=m_player&id=60082 Good Luck!
I searched all of Trinsic and not a sign. I combed the bank for clues but nothing. The bankers didn't even seem to know about the robbery. I asked various townfolk however could not find any information. I therefore enlisted the help of a stealthy friend of mine. He searched the Trinsic perimeter and the town as well without luck. Given the paladin presence in Trinsic, the scoundrel must have fled the town. My friend decided to search some potential hideouts in the realm.
Based on Zyler's useful and reliable information I deduced that Carmen must have fled the city. And so I decided to take to the long road to Britain, the closest town and a great place to offload stolen wares, to search for her there and on the way. My first encounter was with a small guard post on the road. No useful information found. A nearby wandering healer also had no idea. Even the local wildlife had no idea (Heidi is a tamer and can communicate with animals) Hoping to get better information I questioned the guards of the large outpost along the road. Again nothing. Another small outpost, another uninformative interrogation. Finally at the road to Britain I decided to check out the coast first as it would be a great place to hop a ship and sail away with the stolen goods. The coast again yielded nothing of value. And finally arriving at the Bridge to enter Britain I will not give up the search until the scoundrel is found and justice is served. To be continued...
Reports say she made her way through Moonglow, and a mage in a shop said a lovely woman in red said "Recdu" so seductively he lost his regs. She is not under guard protection.
I received a scouting report: "Greetings Sir, Unfortunately, I am still seeking the scoundrel who pilfered the treasures from Trinsic. I considered 'if' I were a thief, where would I go? I immediately made my way to Buccaneer's Den however no luck!. Then a thought occurred... where would someone 'not' look for me. I made my way to several of the Shrines - first Honor given the Trinsic connection, then Honestly but the thief was not located. Perhaps Chaos... but nay! Where in the world...? AHH! Perhaps the Court of Truth or in the jails... nothing there either. Lord Blackthorn's? Is he building another army... nay. I did some research and heard a rumor this Carmen Santiago adores maps therefore I checked every mapmaker in the realm but for naught! Further research revealed she likes music as well, especially drums. I proceeded to check several of the conservatories but again, no clues were found. Ah HA! The hidden cave! I traveled back to Yew but could not make my way into the caverns beneath. Dastardly dead end! Let me share some good news! This Carmen was seen in Moonglow and has likely travelled to the Lost Lands. I am preparing to make my way there and will send note of my search. Also, I will need a retainer of 2,500 gold to continue my investigation. Please forward funds to the Ye Olde Loans and Savings in Paupa. Regards, Charkel" -------------- I considered the communications I received and decided to forward funds to continue the investigation. I am determined to see this thief be brought to justice.
Aww, I was so looking forward to hunting her down when I got home later today. Looks like Carmen Sandiego will not be going to jail and inevitably escaping within 5 minutes this time. Justice was dispensed on the scene. But anyways, cool event idea Wulver.
Yes! Great job Russell! hhaha I was about to post some tips right now, but I guess there is no need. Until next time, Gumshoes!
