Why does stealing always turn me grey (or probably "gray" for most of you)

    UK player, 200-400 ping, constant lag, but I liked the servers ruleset here... wanted to pvp but not an option with the ping so I decided to make my second favourite char.... a thief.

    GM Stealing, gm combat skills, wait a week to join the thieves guild, and stealing anything turns me crim. How is so much of this shard right in terms of ruleset, and stealing is so completely wrong???

    What a waste of a week and a character slot.
