After concluding his routine patrol of the road from the Village of Paws to the Gung Farmer’s Bridge of Britain, Catalin pronounced the path clear of all dangers.

Having completed his patrol in record time, he decided to sit about the bank and observe the guards. Perhaps he could learn a thing or two about justice? But then again, probably not. He decided a tour of the facilities at Prison Peak would give him a better understanding of how to fight against the criminal syndicates.

The plan had all come together quite unexpectedly. The strategy was simple: infiltrate Prison Peak, Slay a Lord Grand Visor, and don’t die. To accomplish their task, Catalin had devised a brilliant scheme. The thought came to him after he sent the nuisance of a thief, Starr, back to prison for the umpteenth time. Sure she’d be out on parole again in two minutes. And of course, he expected she’d break parole in less time than that!

Catalin thought to himself, “Starr doesn’t even attempt to disguise her self. At least if she wore a mask or even changed her tunic…” The epiphany hit him like a bag full of sandstone tiles! What better way to sneak into Prison Peak, than disguised as an executioner? The only things he lacked now were a private army and the suitable disguises.

Where one lacks the funds to hire a private army, Borin Drake makes a suitable substitution. After a short stop at the local tailor, Catalin and Borin mimicked the executioners. All they needed now was a faux prisoner: queue Aeritas the Just. We now add ‘Covert Ops’ to Aeritas’ growing list of qualifications.

Upon entering the lower levels of Prison Peak, the group found that the prisoners seemed to govern themselves. For there were no wardens here, and they were immediately attacked by inmates!
After quickly dispatching the fools who tried to assume the glory for capturing Aeritas, the group obtained the appropriate ‘transfer’ papers to allow them to access the second level.

Their plan worked out spectacularly at first. However, Catalin could not have possibly foreseen that on this very same night, a group of ex-cons, murderers, and down-right-no-good’ers from Team Trammel (TT) had also planned an escape from Prison Peak. And even more to Catalin’s chagrin, it appears their disguises were too effective. For as soon as they turned the corner to the second level of the prison, they ran into Everything Evil and Spike. These two clearly mistook Catalin and Borin for actual executioners and, not wanting to return to their prison cells, they quickly assaulted Borin with curses and flashing blades. The band of fugitives were so eager to escape the prison, they did not even stay to pick clean the belongings of Catalin and crew.

So after a brief interruption caused by the mistaken identity, the party resumed their plan. Upon reaching the Executioners Quarters, Catalin (alias Lord Duvrain) and Borin (alias Buubles the Executioner) led Aeritas forward. Their disguises were perhaps not as clever as Catalin thought, for they were quickly recognized. However, before the executioners could coordinate any manner of defense, they had all fallen, including three Lord Grand Visors to the Evil Master of Wrong.
