Hi Horatio, When I first saw your post, "1.6 million or 200k for a tower ReZon?" several things struck me as odd. First, I didn't recall seeing it earlier in the day when I started cleaning out the houses after LanDarr's winning bid. That's not impossible; I've scrolled past things without seeing them before. Second, the "subsequent" posters in the thread offered an escalating series of bids acting as if your post offering 1.6 mil did not exist. This squared with my recollection that it did not. And third, why on earth would you offer a bid 100k more than the listed buyout price? This made sense only as either a mistake or an attempt to entice me to disregard LanDarr's buyout. Despite the remarkable coincidence of such a mistake in a post I didn't recall, I naturally needed to check. If the bid was legitimate, I would not want to deny you the purchase (or myself the extra 100k gold.) I checked your post to see if it had a last-edit tag showing a later timestamp, like the one on my first post in the thread. It did not. This was confusing. So, I checked my email. I had been "watching" the thread so I received each message in my email with known-reliable timestamps. This yielded the next surprise: your message was not present in my email. At all. The other posts in the thread were there, but yours was not. The next interesting thing is that your April 30 post offering "I'll still buy a tower for 250" was in my email. But in the forums it says, "I'll still buy a tower for 200k." And it doesn't show a last-edit tag either. I make no accusations. The forums clearly have some bugs and if they have one bug they could have others. And sometimes coincidence is just coincidence. Nevertheless, I hope you understand why I elected to fulfill LanDarr's buyout. He indicated to me a willingness to sell one or two of the houses. I encourage you to contact him. Regards, Wil
No worries Wil, Must be buggy as I did offer 1.6 mill and then Rezon an option to buy a tower for 200k heheh. He actually pmed me after I posted it so perhaps ask him as well. EDIT: perhaps timezones? I'm in Australia. I also have not been getting emails on watched threads...
