I will give you a free bump here and also express my disgust for you repeatedly going AFK for many, many hours with your scavenger agent on inside the Occlo farms where new players try to get cotton. I know 2 people that appealed you, but I guess that didn't solve much...lol
Nytefell, i do wish to reply to your post. i can understand me going afk in 1 particular spot may cause many troubles with frustrations as a result. but le me clarify. 1st: i dont AFK and if i do, its for 1 or 2 mins should something come up in RL, like bio break or doorbell or kids. 2nd: i see many others, going AFK for hours...., taking up like 5 to 10 cottons with their scavanger. im sure my slight afking aint that bigga deal. 3nd: when i do not respond or seem afk, it means im going other things on uor in other clients. i try to view all 3 clients at the same time but sometimes i just cant (if the other task requires too much focus) as a conclusion, i do adming being afk from time to time but like i explained, these are very short timeframes. im sure there are many others going afk for hours, and invisibility is the only way to clean up the cotton in your own profits. otherwise your picking for others. i hope i was able to clarify a little and settled the moods. 'oh by the way: should people not know, a little south is a 2nd cotton field in occlo.'
Going AFK at the farms? You need to move etc to gather the cotton, or? So the coverage of the field is low, plus there are AFK gumps appearing. Oh, but if somebody really is AFK there and annoying you, lure a monster on him from south. Tell the people that are complaining to solve their problems.
@BlackEye , unless I'm mistaken, the AFK gump only appears when you "pick" the cotton, not when scavenger auto loots it. With the delay between actions, if you have your scavenger set properly in the middle of the first farm you can auto loot about 25-30% of the cotton that is "picked" in that farm. He's correct that there is a 2nd farm (although we all know that 2nd farm does not have near the production of the main farm he AFK's at). He's also acknowledging that he routinely does AFK in that first farm. Supposedly only for minutes. I don't really care to argue that, as I'm sure from the context of his post that you can read between the lines and see that I'm correct here. He was AFK for more than 3 days in the exact same spot. We could have lured mobs to him, but we thought the issue would have been better served by reporting him.
It is not possible to get 25-30% of the cotton when standing on one spot. A toon covers a 2x2 square around his center position. That farm is much larger. Anyway, you are right about the gump, it appears only when picking the cotton and not when lifting up the cotton from the ground. But now my main point: I would suggest to never include Staff intervention when dealing with people in this game unless absolutely no other method is left or people are cheating. A AFK toon that auto-scavenges isnot breaking any rules. I suggest getting him killed, or if he is out of the GZ, kill him directly. That is just my advice. If you think about it, I am sure you agree, that reporting people should be the last resort as long as you can deal with by means of game mechanics.
Agreed. Just thought staff would want to know there is an issue. A counselor appeared and told my friends that he observed it, but did not have the power to do anything, so he would be passing the information on. Obviously with the limited resources that staff has, you are correct. Next time we will just have to take it into our own hands
@Nytefell i fear you have mistaken me with someone else pal. i DO NOT AFK 3 days in a row in 1 spot. i afk minutes lengths, this means im either looking at another SCREEN on the same desk, or going for a piss. instead of wining me getting ALL the cotton in that 2x2 square while i go to the joint, try get me killed. you will see i will not be as AFK as you think i might. i feel sad that im just trying to sell a good and such a discussion is being held while nothing WRONG happened. no rule, no egoist behaviour or whatsover. i rly dont see any problem. please , next time your in game and come across me, TALK to me, i rly want to understand what i m doing wrong.... AFK is not what i do. i do that in my SAFE keep or naked at the bank. not sure if you noticed. ppl get kill ya there for 1 cotton or 2 regs. they ll steal your ass naked if they could. whats worse? lets take this "discussion" offline, this post was meant as a "TRADE" and it should remain as a one. thanks.
