The dinosaur with the longest name was Micropachycephalosaurus meaning "tiny thick-headed lizard". Its fossils have been found in China, and it was named in 1978 by the Chinese paleontologist Dong.
The following is my 6th grade report on dinosaurs. UTAHRAPTOR Deinonychus and Velociraptor get all the press, but for sheer killing ability, no raptor was more dangerous that Utahraptor, adult specimens of which weighed almost a ton (compared to 200 pounds, top, for an exceptionally big Deinonychus). Why Utah chose the "Utes" as their team name knowing full well this prehistoric beast existed and was so aptly named for awesomeness is beyond scientific comprehension. Perhaps they simply knew the obvious outcome and decided instead of being ultimately incapable of defeat, they chose an absolutely sh*t name and accepted a life full of challenge and disappointment.
