Once again the seasons change and so we gather together to get sloppy drunk celebrate the Vernal Equinox at Empath Abbey! The equinoxes are a time of balance and thus the most important holidays on the Yewish calendar. Join the people of Yew as we partake of The Brotherhood of the Rose's finest wines! All manner of fine food will be served, so bring an empty stomach! There will also be a Bardic Arts contest, so bring an original song to share with the revelers! Not a bard? Not a problem! Just bring an original poem to share with us! Save the date of March 20th and come to Empath Abbey at 9pm (est) to Celebrate Spring!
If I am able, I shall certainly be in attendance! I enjoyed the last festival Yew held (har har) quite a bit and I promise I won't make drunken paintings this time.

I wish to thank those who attended the Equinox Celebration and especially all who participated in the Bardic Arts Contest. Likewise, I would thank those who were unable to attend yet wished us well from afar. It is with utmost pleasure and no small amount of surprise that I announce the Grand Prize winner of the Bardic Arts Contest to be none other than the orc, @Xegugg This has been an especially difficult week for me and the orcish performance amused me so greatly that I found my heart filled with laughter for the first time in many a day. I would thank that orc for not only attending, but also lightening my spirit more than I would have e'er believed possible! I would also extend an unanticipated word of thanks to Franz Pfniffel (@Jakob ) whose superb performance provided quite considerable competition for the orc's brilliantly blunt performance. Would that I could have awarded a runner-up prize, for he would have surely received it for his second recital. I feel that a special word of thanks should be extended to the Papuan delegate as well. The assembly was most decidedly diverse and she did much to add to that complex palette of personalities present at the party. Though surrounded by strangers, rogues and sworn enemies, my heart was greatly gladdened for their companionship on this holy day. All in all, 'twas a most stimulating yet lighthearted event and it pleased me greatly to have been selected as judge even though I was lost in an uncharacteristic drunken stupor throughout the evening's festivities. It is with great anticipation that I look forward to the Summer Solstice. If it be as filled with mirth and merriment as this Vernal Equinox, then it shall surely be an event worthy of song!
Let me extend my thanks to thee Yews for arranging this most fine and (multi-)cultural evening! This hath inspired me, as the bard I am, to further examine my internal poetic landscape and produce more pieces of art! Mayhap we shalt see a poem to the orcs in the future! Ahem... "Picking every nose, tis their way of prose..."
I really do wish I could have made it. I really enjoyed the Winter Solstice event you guys threw a few months back. I am hoping you will hold more events in the future so I can attend!
