It seems a lot of old timers are unloading housing of all sizes lately, including coveted fortresses.

Has Insider information regarding a future patch been kept from the plebs?

NNA PRE SALE HYYPPPEEE!!! Here is what I know Ragnarok, and I know a lot of vets think like me: Fortresses can be saved up for and purchased again. Rare hued sandals and masks on the other hand come up for auction so rarely that you gotta move if you want to secure them. Also, in my case I have this misguided illusion that if I downsize my UO house, I will play less.

^^ This. Items which can be regained are worth unloading for items which cannot. It's the reason I'm selling standing armor that I love, but can replace.

Well, i sold the dwarf fortress, all the items inside and the bridged large tower and deleted all my chars on all 3 accts. I even dropped 18k on ground in SB to see if a player would give it back. Did not take long before OLDMEAT came by and asked if I dropped it. I gave him a cool mill for style. I found a few new players in vesper and played a dice game with very high odds and ended up losing a few mill. Just So I could start over......again.

This time I am rping a ranger chick (so she can wear all armor). Anat/healing/archery/tacs/music/peace/resist. Her name is Silk Nightshade and will be looking for a rp guild to join very soon. She placed a log cabin on the road outside of Skara. She dont believe in magic and that why her resist is already gm. (ty to the free resist party). She does not believe in what she is hearing about RRG owning all they see is fair.

Just my reason for selling/giving away all I had.

    (I did keep 700k for Silk.....her daddy was rich...heh)

Sometimes I feel like doing this. I already changed my skills 6 times, and might do it again. If you need a RP guild, I'm sure we can send a raven. (We already have 1 dwarf there)

On the subject though, it's good that nobody sits on houses for TOO LONG, because it will discourage new players to actually buy property. Good to see a turnover in houses. Having said that it's funny for sandals to be worth more than fortresses though. I hate sandals.

You should be hoisted upon shoulders and given your own parade through town for picking up archery.

    Good on ya!

If you want to make your own arrows with 100% chance, you need 40.0 shown bowcraft skill.

One of my first thoughts to create on this shard was a self sufficient stealth archer, quickly replaced by a poisoner dexxer (who now is a tamer dexxer after so many changes).

I don't think there is any secrets being kept. In my case, I am considering getting rid of two of my homes. First off, I placed them thinking they would be used more and loved the locations. After playing a long time, realized, they are basically just being used for storage and in help driving me nuts to refresh them.

Is no one going to mention moats? I feel that's the biggest reason why people are buying them up now

    Insider real estate trading! haha

I think the recent influx in players has driven many real estate investors to sell.
