Hey guys, i was wondering what your opinions are on loot value from lvl 5+ tmaps, and if any of it is worth the time to sell, minus the lvl 7 maps and plat Also, does someone know if the lvl 7 map codes are the same as lvl 5, etc? i'm using a restock that targets lvl 5 map types, in hopes of just grabbing a lvl 7 map and heading out. Thanks!
Despite the lack of slayer properties being part of the variables, as they absolutely 100% should be, you can get "good" items from every treasure chest level, from 1 through 6. The only difference in loot between them all is the number of items (not quality) and the amount of gold/platinum/chance for L7.
With both AMIBs and Tmaps, after much thought I've decided to not bother iding and skimming in hopes for something good unless I've a new player in tow. I especially don't bother with regular mibs either. The loot on those in comparison is laughable and a waste of my time. Gold, gems, specific scrolls, 7's, rares, all wands (I use alot), plat all added to a restock setting. Rest gets chucked into a storage facility in hopes that CUB is as good as I think it will be. Yeah, I throw away vanqs/invuln but my time is better spent fishing up more amibs or skimming through tmaps waiting for 7's. Hooray for custom content?
If you have an ID character, you can make a fair bit of gold by IDing the bags of goods and selling them to an NPC. I've done a mix of that and hoarding for CUB. My ID character has organizer agents for reagents, gems and scrolls. I have a single macro that plays those three agents in sequence. I will pick up a loot pack from a tmap, play that macro, take out any invuln armor I might use and check for vanqs of decent weapons (katanas, qstaves, warforks, etc).
It's a system that has been the driving force behind hoarding of useless shit for three years in hopes that the rewards included in it are worth the mess and tedium.
.......Man, I must be "Old Fashioned". I really don't get the Gold/Hr thing, unless I was in a contest to see which Spawn brought in the most Gold per Hour. ( did that on Legends with guildmates, warrior in shame killing Earth Elems vs a Bard in Destard voking Shadow Wyrms) When I T-Hunt Level 1-4 Maps I ID and loot the entire chest, go home when I'm full or find something valuable. Then separate Scrolls/Gems/Armor/Weps/Regs/Etc. and sell everything I don't want to NPC's once that NPC's loot type bag is at my weight limit to carry. I do Fishing related stuff the same way... to each his/her own I guess... I enjoy the small stuff.
yeah its based on some sweet circular reasoning step1. players hoard items that slow down the server step2. staff rewards them by turning their items into currency see step1
Actually as far as the CUB system here goes its not really as much a reward for people hoarding things. I remember it being said by staff that for instance the platinum you would get back for lets say a full bag of 125 weps would be less than the gold you would get back if you sold each weapon to npc smiths. So it really isn't as much a reward for hoarding as CUB has been on other servers and of course originally OSI. It will be a nice incentive to get rid of clutter in a fast sort of way but the reward is greater if you were to sell things such as armor and weapons to npc's rather than dump them into CUB. Now I'm going by what was said probably over a year ago concerning CUB so perhaps the system once implemented will be a little different but that is my take on it thus far.
