There is a house I have been watching and waiting to decay. It has been greatly worn for seven days. I thought the time table for greatly worn was 2.75 days. I may be wrong, because I am a noob. Sorry to post this here if it doesn't belong here. I appreciate you guys running this server. This is by far the best Ultima Online Emulation I have ever played. If more details are needed I will be able to provide them, but didn't want to post them publicly as this is a prime housing location.
It is 2.75 days. I have extreme doubts on your timetable, especially considering you brought this up in IRC earlier and said it had been 5 days.
I have been checking it every day since Last Thursday. When I was looking to purchase the house next door. It continues to say greatly worn, but I will give it more time. The point I was trying to make in IRC is that it is over the 2.75 days. I am just trying to make sure the rules hasn't changed since the writing of the guide, which is well written.
Resolved. Logged in this morning and the house was simply gone. Seemed to have skipped the last step. However, I am beginning to believe these are estimated times and not exact science. Thanks for commenting. Sorry to be a bug in the bug report section.
... and I'm sorry I got in a fight at your panther party. Anyway, cheers! You indeed did find an oddity worth posting.
^ 99% of the time we get a page like this, that is what we find. From Section 7 of the house guide There are six phases of house decay as indicated by single clicking the house sign. Like New - 2 Hours Slightly Worn - 3 Days Somewhat Worn - 3 days Fairly Worn - 3 Days Greatly Worn - 2.75 Days In Danger of Collapsing - 17 Hours (This can vary slightly) These are still rough approximations. House decay is a series of 1000 "ticks" over a 15 day time period. Each phase has a certain amount of tickets in which it contains. No house would be greatly for more than 3 days. There is no way for the staff to lock decay in a certain phase. If decay is suspended on a house, the sign will indicate the house is ageless. The only exception to this is when a player has experienced an unexpected illness, hospital stay, military deployment, extended loss of internet access. In which you can contact the staff to make sure your house does not decay before you can return. In situations of long term loss of access to the server we will require that you friend someone to the houses, or deed them as soon as possible.
My favorite is "This house is in danger of being AWESOME!" or something like that haha Honorable mentions: "Get off my lawn!!" and "I pee into the sea"
I can't remember who I was running around with (wylwrk?) but we saw a house that was named "Ultima Online!" or something like that. I liked the sentiment.
