Why can the event center not be properly administered? (Trammel whine)

Right now. Pure Trammel in effect. @Chris you promised that people will be kicked out after some minutes when no events are happening and that prolonged training will not be possible anymore. Honestly, seeing such mass abuse of the Trammel area called Event Center for training is breaking my heart and really de-motivates me (ergo instant logout). But the bigger problem is, that this isn't properly taken care of by Staff.



I'd like to see:

- Strict regulations on when these green gates are opened (e.g. NOT for PLAYER RUN events, please use direct gates if you really have to support Freesists. Like it used to be before the Event Center was invented.)
- Auto-kick after one minute, when no live events are happening.
- De-activate or block the bank access to cancel 100% safe trading that can happen there right now.
- Punish abusers, e.g. by teleporting them right into the pits of hell (e.g. death trap in Hythloth) or give them temporary names/titles like Citizen of Trammelhausen or whatever.
- De-activate Trammel status, as long as no events are happening.
- De-activate portals for safe and reg free traveling, or make them risky, e.g. spitting people out on top of Fire Temple as sacrifices for the Feluccan Gods...

People like to run here when they are losing fights too

Shouldn't be abe to use ANY gate when flagged criminal and/or in combat... ever.

You can't enter the green gates when grey from stealing - since quite a while (1 year?). However, IMO these gates shouldn't exist at all.

yeah there should at least be an auto eviction of anyone in the event center when not in use. Shouldn't take but a few seconds to use the event center for the gate to the resist event

This would be great if the system were automated on a set schedule, including the gates. This way no administrative time-burden would be happening, outside of the initial setup. I think we could refer to this as "Automated Events".

I tamed the pets a few times - which is an easy solution to the training happening at the time.

Not allowing the release of pets in the center (much like you can't release dragons in town) would alleviate the skill building.

As for the rest of the concerns people have with danger free trade zones - could you also block trade windows? Thereby making people transfer goods on the ground, and exposing them to a lurking thief's quick fingers.

Can I release a drag in there and melee it to gm in no time?

You can currently - it would also work your resist. You can then come in and retame it for a free 2x dragon.

You can't however, release any dragons (all aggressive animals?) within limits of a town. I imagine extending those rules into the green acres area wouldn't be too challenging? But alas, I'm a simple engineer and don't know the magic that is programming.....so I dunno. Just a thought.

In any case there's any number of good answers to this.

Green gates for resist parties could go directly from town to the location, circumventing the event center.

Event hosts could provide their own gates or maps to events.

Meh, on second though how is this any different than a free resist event?
