I'm not gonna lie, I read this as "Too many changes to stand a chance at getting implemented, NAXT!!!!" But a large part of that is a reflection of how I feel about the situation myself versus what Professor X really intended. He seems unnecessarily angry @One which is weird. One's all polite and stuff. I mean maybe he was embroiled in an intense battle with a straw-man, but boy was he kicking the shit out of it with a positive and inquisitive attitude! I can't get mad @One because I think of him as a good old Canadian Hippy thanks to this 54/40 song.
The simple solution would be for Telamon to proceed with cub and put everything else on the back burner until it's complete, and to gut any idea of leaderboards for turning in garbage, which from what I understand was a huge obstacle in getting cub complete. Seriously, no one needs nor gives a flying crap about being number one in cub barrelling broadswords of ruin or tricorne hats recovered from a shipwreck. We do not need leaderboards for cub to encourage hoarding for bragging rights on who turns in the most garbage! Sorry, I can't stress that enough. A majority of players just want to see cub actually happen so savetimes will go down and people will no longer have an excuse to hoard garbage. I don't care if that's all we got for the rest of the year, if that's what it takes for Telamon to have time to get it completed. Even if the reward functions aren't finished yet, at LEAST allow people to start dumping their crap into it and storing up points. There would no longer be any need for people to hoard stuff anymore, and no other changes necessary.
From a thread I started concerned about world save frequency... The earliest official mention I could find that this CUB program was going to be a thing was in this thread. July 30, 2014. I swear to jeebus I'm going to pistol whip the next person that suggests "changes and additions" to this server (myself included). There are way too many threads waxing and waning for pages upon pages eventually signifying... nothing. Night of Horrors is coming. Before we derail One's thread completely, I'd vote to reduce the items you pull up while fishing the mibs by a lot. Like only one or two junk items per mib. I've pulled up 4-6 pillows or paintings from one mib. andddd
That's quite a long list of changes. I can't speak on the proposed fishing changes because I got tired of fishing only a few days after GM'ing it. As for the rest, I think it would negatively affect new players and role players. Sure get rid of clothing, food, and alcohol from chests but leave the rest.
