The Great Spawning Rare Guide - Players' Edition

Thanks @Larloch... can you imagine how much of a time waster that was about to be? A stand-up gent, you are.

Does anyone have an updated market list for pricing on these spawning rares? Or perhaps at least a few pricing benchmark ranges based on spawn frequency (i.e. daily spawns sell for X, weekly spawns sell for Y, etc)?

I found a few guides that appear to be significantly out-of-touch with the current market.

The best guide is the trade forum honestly. You can also check vendors like Christoph Brock's, Captain Morgan's, and my own. They're all comparably priced I think.

Mage
Medi
Hide
Stealth
LPick
Stealing
(7th seems to be optional)

How much stealing is actually required to collect rares? I'm assuming GM because of the weight of some of the rares, but how often is it used?

You'll need GM stealing (Britain vase is 10 stones). Lockpicking isn't necessary for rares hunting. I also use tracking to scout, and detect hidden for good measure.

Mage, Med, Hiding, Stealth, and Stealing are the big ones though.

Realizing the post date I find the comment still relevant today... Rezon, did you mean to imply that tracking is used for spawning rare hunting in some way?

I always find it useful when running through a dungeon to be able to tell if there is someone else down there. It's helped me avoid a good number of folks over the years.

It's also been useful to know if someone is camping the spot.

Does anyone have an update from Rezon' OP about the Level 7 TMap Rares? Curious what and where spawns in each Level 7 Tmap.

Any new info for us newbs to the shard?

ALSO - These state they are monthly timers in the level 7 maps.. does that mean vets have the timers already down so not much use for us newer guys to try and find these rares? @Chris

The respawn timers on spawning rares are not exact. For example, a monthly item will respawn approximately 30 days +/- a few days since its last spawning occurrence, making it impossible to lock in the exact times.

That said, there are multiple people who actively maintain systems/spreadsheets that allow for tracking and approximation of future spawning spawn times. Don’t let that discourage you however as you could easily find your own rares with a little bit of patience.

If you’re looking to break into the spawning rares arena, there are two sets of runebooks that I have found to be helpful, in that they align perfectly this guide:

- Ocllo sandstone, west of stables, stacked on the left side of the door
- Ocllo small marble, east of the bank, floating above the entryway

Are there any guides to WHERE they spawn in the instance? Be nice to check just in case every time I have a chance to run one.

How do I steal out of the boxes in town, a lot of the items I’ve found most the items are too heavy to steal

If you have 100 stealing you can steal any rare out of any chest. Some weapons way more than 10 stones and can not be stolen from chests. I also believe that spell books can not be stolen from chests.

Thx, just read to steal everything to make faster respawn but I’ve run into a lot of things too heavy to steal
