What's up folks of UOR. I just started on this shard yesterday and am mostly an UO noob. I do have a little bit of experience having played.. er.. "tried".. the official servers and then spent some time over at UOF. I never got into UO until recent years and am not a vet from the old days. I'm here because I was recommended to try out this shard from Reddit and so far have received a pretty warm welcome. I don't have extensive knowledge of UO and wanted to just be able to play a game that didn't set me on guardrails, pushing me through an amusement park like 99.9% of MMOs out there. Hence, here I am. I hope that I can learn a lot from the ole' timers and get my feet wet (again) and enjoy a little piece of what I missed back in the late 90s when I was busy doing stupid post-high school stuff (ie-chasing girls, partying too hard, and being a general ass). This is a general greeting to the community and I'll see ya'll in game. Or not. Who knows Cheers UOR
Welcome. One of the things I've always enjoy about this game, is there is no beginning or end. You log out and the world continues without you. LOL Take that as a hint, never log out if you are NOT inside an inn, Tavern or a house you own or a friend too.(there are ways to do this safely, but that,s for another time.) Since you are only a few days old and not super knowledgeable conferring the game, I suggest you stay in young status, build up your characters and learn as much as you can about this environment of UO. Once young is gone, it is a extremely dangerous world. We have the dreaded slime here, nasty little guys, and just about every monster you could come across in the DND games. Do experiment with different character builds, from crafting, fishing, to being a warrior. Find out what you enjoy doing the most and go for it. Once you are out and about in the world, come visit Wispfelt Village any time. Marjo Governess of WispFelt Village Westra on IRC
Welcome Xellos. Say hi if you see me in game. Let me know if you need anything. Best tip I could offer is to find what you enjoy about the game. There's plenty of things to enjoy: adventuring in dungeons, PvP, role playing, crafting, stealing from other players, player run events, staff run events, and more. It's an open world for you to find your way in. Cheers.
HOLY SHIT, a slayers reference and footer!!!!!! I instantly think your awesome. Welcome to the server.
Yep. My favorite anime of all time. I still have the entire series on a stack of DVDs even though they released it all in a smaller box set. Thank god there's no Lina Inverse here on UOR. She'd be the ultimate PK.
