My avatar is making lots of trash while training up Carpentry. So many boxes, what to do with them all? Is there a way to break down crafted materials into diminutive parts? Can I get some of the boards back from making thousands of boxes? I suppose these could be sold to an NPC vendor of some sort, is that all one does with the byproducts of training Carpentry (at low level)? Are there players out there looking for hordes of boxes by chance? Is the typical lazy way of dealing with the excess craft materials from training just to throw em in the trashcan? Am I a newb for doing that? Help my avatar be more environmentally conscious, please. The southern jungles might get stripped bare if this guy doesnt figure out how to recycle!
Most throw them away. Others investigate all npcs that will buy what you're making, UO vendor diminishing return breaking points, recall cost / value of return, and pre calculate expected results compared to the value of your estimated time. Others have had that junk sitting in a warehouse somewhere collecting refreshes, increasing housing crisis hype, and dust since 2014 in anticipation of CUB. So yeah, you have choices.
CUB....Clean up Britannia...copper reward system....carpenters make new barrel and get copper for disposal
I wish one could recycle wood like we can ore, but unfortunately, we can't . So, the only recourse I had was to throw the boxes in the trash can and chop chop chop some more.
