The Freaky Lockboxes IDOC event

Dear all,

Event time: One will announce the event time in the last post of this thread.

I placed all my possessions in the house and I will demolish the house as timr comes.

The house is on the left of Trinsic Wall, a log cabin directly adjacent to the left hand side of Trinsic Wall.

I will name the log cabin Freaky Lockbox IDOC event for easy identification.

I will put all gold in the form of gold piles to make looting fun and difficult.

weapons, invul armor, colored ingots deeds, boards deed, oak deed, checks, etc.

Here are the rules of the IDOC:

Only dexxers are allowed. No evaluating intelligence, animal taming, peacemaking.

No gating. You cannot gate heavy boxes away. All heavy boxes with valuables will be locked by a key. All keys to these boxes will be scattered around the house. You need to use the keys you find to test which box it opens.

No lockpicking. You need to find the keys. Dont ruin the fun for others.

No hiding and stealth.

No magic unlock. Find the keys!

No invisible spell.

No axe on locked boxes.

No scavenger program or any similarly silly program.

A tiny maze will be created by stacked wooden tables. Inside the maze you dexxers will find the treasures.

Dont expect million dollar checks. So dont break the rules! But it will be very gratifying as you open boxes of loot.

The second picture is the location of the log cabin, adjacent to Trinsic Wall.

The third picture is the actual in game picture of all the lockboxes with the loot. All keys scattered around the house.

Sad to see a player go but this sounds like a good way to do it. All the best.

Sadly this wont unfold like you want it to, no one cares about rules at an idoc they just scream mememememe while pocking up all the chests and worrying about opening them later within the safety of their home.

Just keepin it real.

You want to make an event out of this then manually drop it at an arranged time.

Well, if PKs come with dragons and mana dump everyone else on sight, I am sure the already low population in dungeons will further drop.

Do you want more dungeon crawlers to play the game for fun, or or do you really need that extra tiny sum of gold?

If ppl can easily donate 500k to to an event, spend 500k on a resist session, spend 2.5million on a runebook, spend 2 million on a valorite weapon that they never carry to the field, or another few millions on sandals or another few million on rares,

I am sure they are mature enough to attend an well thought out IDOC just like the end game moment of ultima 6 ultima 7.

There is no million dollar checks in this house. This is for fun.

How can I manually drop the house?
Can i do this:

set a specific time like xx Eastern time.

announce in IRC as time approaches for the event.

When time comes, delete the character of the owner of the house? There is only 1 character who owns the house now.

As I delete the character, the house will disappear, correct? and the contents of the house will be there for ppl to grab.

There's an option to demolish the house in the sign menu. Deleting the owning character wont insta-drop the house.

Double click the house sign. Under options tab is an option to demolish house and get deed back. That will drop the house.

Deleting the char I believe the house will decay as normal and IDOC fall.

There is tons of stuff inside there is no way i can demolish it im last minute.

Well, if ppl are going to axe boxes or gate boxes they are boring fun killers anyways. They can do all kinds of stuff to ruin an otherwise fun event anyways. You guys just take screenshots and curse these fun killers who destroy fun for 20 ppl for 200k in game gold pieces hahaha

I like the idea, you're giving "them" way too much credit tho.

I believe this refers to a long time ago in a shard far far away.

Have you seen some of the people that play here? Greed, pure greed is what runs through most of their heads...fun to them is owning everything while looking down on the rest.
