Hi all I am thrilled that the UO I remember from 97-99, where I played still is here! I am also thrilled that the aspects PvP and risking loosing your stuff is here. That is the nerve about the game, even though I wasn't the big PvPer..... Well well all those memories.......I basicly need some start up advice so that is why I am writing here....do you have any advice on how to start up so I can settle up without misusing all the little time I have in the game? Firstly I have made a classic warrior (sword/shield) and I thought just going on adventure with that. If you have any good start up advice to make a little gold, etc. please let me know..... Cheers
Well let's see here... Ah yes, let's review what you've accomplished thus far. 1. You started a UOR account 2. You made a warrior and are playing it Well sh__, I think you got this "winning" thing down pat already. Keep it up! Welcome to UOR. avoid analysis paralysis don't get lost in the minutia just play
If your into learning from video content, I have some guides that may help you on my youtube channel.
Welcome aboard! Lots of good advice so far, I would also recommend retaining your young player status, at least long enough to get a feel for the world again. Once you conclude your time in Ocllo you should find or buy a slayer weapon and use that to your advantage. Silver weapons are fairly common and inexpensive, and there's just something about hunting the undead... I'm a very casual player, I'm never on for too long, but even with the small amount of playtime I have it doesn't matter what I do here, the world of UO is always exciting and magical, always sounds and looks great. From crawling around in the darkest depths hunting monsters and popping treasure chests to stalking PK's who could kill me with ease were I detected, the risk vs. reward factor is faithfully maintained here and it's awesome. Truly makes this game one of the only games that can give you an adrenaline rush one moment and those sweet endorphins the next, and this is the best server to play it on. Feel free to contact me on IRC, same name, if you're up for a hunt!
