Just because he can doesn't mean he will. Shit we have been waiting on CUB and moats for 2+ years. Adding more garbage to then list only slows the process. I will not vote for new items to be added until the "to do" list is completed. Besides I asked him a year ago to add in the ability to wear a mask over a leather cap. He asked me to get him the code and he will see what he can do. My request already exsist in game and is a very simple code change. So good luck on getting brand-new items, that no one has the art files for, added to the game fo no real good reason besides adding in more trammel. P.S. not one to derail a thread, but if you are gonna tag me then I assume you want my opinion.
What about purses in different styles and patterns? It is essential to accessorize in this fashion conscious game. It cant be that hard to code some purses. Shall we open a poll? If the poll succeeds that will surely get development attention.
@Larloch Can't we just dream and fantisice a little?? Do you really think I want a Sainta Claus mask for Xmas day?? We do not even celebrate Xmas day in Sweden as we celebrate Xmas eve...
I need a humie mask that I can wear over my orc mask (under the clown mask I will usually carry in my new purse) so I can be all like HaHA!!! Fooled you.... when I reveal my true self. Maskception and what not. Actually I'm down with the masks with armor values idea. Or ooo...masks that work like disquise kits...randomly changing your appearance and hell with it, turns you temporarily blue if red. Unblessable, low hps. Macers could reveal people with a few good hits. Ok yeah, rambling while trying not to work...
You can do this a couple of different ways. 1. Create custom graphics for masks and release them by adding items set to the new graphic id's. This could cause unmodified clients to crash when the mask shows on screen. If it does not crash the client, it would probably not load any graphic. These 2 cases depend on what graphic value you set the id to (is it a blank graphic or a new I'd) new id would crash the client, blank graphic would not load anything. 2. Modify an existing existing art graphic of your helm slot. This would only be viewable to you. I currently use this modification. 3. Code in a deed that either changes an items layer or its itemid. You could change the layer of a mask to something that sits on top of the helm. This would load both graphics with the layered item on top (depending on layer used). If the armor is not fully covered, it will show both helm and mask. You could change the itemid too. Use a scroll that changes a leather cap to look like x item id. Both of these could be used as a plat sink. Layer items could be blessed and would require a large amount of plat as it does not need to be replaced. Itemid change would have to be cheaper as you would lose it if you died. This option would require a lot of testing to avoid any exploits or bugs getting into the server.
I reckon the current situation is pretty good, but if we're gonna play the 'that'd be cool game' for funzies and all that... There's different ores from mining There's now Oak from lumberjacking Lets add some more crafting in the tailoring/hue side of it all Silk - Using standard sprites but with a different hue (like Oak) Dependent Skill: Tailoring. Elements: Chance to get silk would be done when cutting up a sheep or maybe giant spider/tera? and be based on characters Tailoring skill. Use: Silk would work for crafting clothes/masks that could accept special craftable dye hues. Application of hues are checked vs Alchemy and Tailoring. Craftable Special Dye Hues - Use the standard dye bottle sprites with different hue (for the dye) and the rare reagent ones or similar with different hue (for the ingredients) Dependent Skill: Varied or none for drops. Mixing the hue would use Alchemy and a mortar/pestle. Elements: Chance to get ingredients from different monsters/bosses when cutting them up or BODs? Use: Certain combinations of ingredients and certain quantities produce certain hues. This would allow items/clothing with special craftable-specific hues. Maybe add in metal armour being dyed craftable hues by combining alchemy + blacksmith?
