After facing the evil mages in Shame's deep dungeons Lena took a well deserved break and mastered the art of magery. Today's story marks the return of Lena as a true servant to the protection of Britania. The Guard Commander has appealed for help to keep the Orcs at bay by Cove, an isolated trading village by the coast. Lena has rode south from the East Guard Commanders outpost and past the Cove cemetary to reach the miners mountain. Riding along the narrow cliff, Lena reached the south side where only the bravest miners dare and prepared for battle. As a master in Magery, Lena duly summoned the elements of fire and water to help penetrate the Orc fort's gates. Alas, the elements were vanished by the orc mage, so Lena had to go at it alone. It was a brutal late afternoon, and ever so the tactician Lena slaughtered the Orcs one by one. By the end of the battle at least 30 Orcs were killed and served as a living reminder to other Orcs to leave Cove and its merchants alone.
... but where did the clan learn alchemy from to put those war potions to use? Or... who is supplying them? Hmm...
All that is certain, is that they are well equipped. Each slain orc bomber had a number of reagents and a mortar and pestle.
As one who has a lovely log cabin near Cove and who has long fought the orc horde I appreciate your bravery in battle! However we must get to the bottom of the overwhelming supply of alchemical potions it seems they possess.
Unlike those useless elves or dwarves who like to make their weapons and armor pretty and decorative, Orcs like practical and sinister things that are simple and will cause the most amount of damage and misery upon any living thing we can kill. Nothing fancy, we just want the job done as brutally as we can do it. So that being said, Orcs are very well stocked with all sorts of nasty things to kill you with. *sneers*
Outstanding work again Lena! The Guard is proud to have you as an ally in these times of need and shall send a rider with haste to your doorstep bearing a chest of gold coins as a reward! The people of Cove and all travelers coming and going from it's walls are grateful of the reprieve in orcish doings from your slaughter!
