I would rather have 2 Blessed runebooks over 1 ethy, since you can just have a stable marked in your runebook and it would take 9,091 horse at 550gp to pay off an ethy. Not even the worst thief or pvper has died that many times. Just buy 8 horses at once and stable them. Although they look bad ass, I'd rather spend my cash on other trammel gear.

With pet bondage bonding, there's really no practical use for ethy mounts. They're mostly just a status symbol. Hell, if you're a tamer, you're actually at a disadvantage by not riding an aggressive mount.

Stealthers kinda need ethy's though, no?

Not so stealthy with a horse neighing as he follows around an invisible scoundrel

True sir, very true. Some people spend tons of time on stealthers and that would be a different story. Just like people who pay millions for repond or others slayers. I just don't do either one.

I can confirm that the one time I stealthed with my horse dragging behind me one of the two people I was following said, and I quote:

    "Fuck off invisidouche"

    I require an ethreal steed.

That would be so funny to see. I would almost let you have the item of choice out of my pouch.

Well I'll admit that triple the value was a little exaggerated, but thank you for the tip about the plat coins, I didn't know that.

Castles are too much upkeep for me. Marble patio and or tower is all I'll ever need. I had a castle once on siege, and it never felt like home the way the two I mentioned feels. But I was sick to my stomach when the castle fell, it was the weapons that I lost that hurt.

Ethy's are good for thieves, though I'm not sure if they reveal you if you were to mount it. But they are also good for Amib runners. On occasion I'll die and wish I had an ethy for a speedy recovery. But I've died 3 times and all 3 I have been able to recover and complete without the use of a mount. They might have their advantages, but I'm with Crunkjuice. Rather spend money on other shit. I still have yet to spend the money on a blessed runebook. Just haven't gotten to that point of really feeling like I need one yet.

I appreciate that and it's really kind of you to offer, but I want to stay hungry and not become complacent. So I'm gonna stay on the grind and I should be there soon.

That makes sense, cuz you're basically casting a silent spell while summoning them, right? There's not regs needed, but the char does the spell animation and shit.
