The only person I know for sure was griefing me was Deathboy. I know I saw your name come up gray, but there were others there as well, so it could have been accidental, or you just took some loot from someone else that was killed, all criminal acts within the game that wouldn't come under the title griefing. I was just stating that people were there that also had the name of Deathboy's dragons, so it wasn't like I was attributing presence of a player to a dragon ignorantly.
@Boreder we all took a vote and decided you will stay in game so I am sorry folks this auction is done the winner is @Boreder
I appreciate it, but I'm out. I've already consolidated everything, passed out the cash and moved on.
Good work @Deathboy . At some point this game will be old enough that we will rid of the sociopath teenage demographic right? Yeah, probably not. What am I thinking.
Fel play style is not for everyone some people simply do not have the stones for it and that's alright. For me without risk this game would be utterly boring
The risk is why all of us play on Fel play style. However, Fel play style that we all love, is not griefing.
I can see what @Boreder is saying here, nothing at all wrong with PK'ing, house looting and even the RP thief's / detectives. It's a all vs all world at the end of it. That's why we are here, But stone walling and trapping so you can't loot the few items left (if any) after PKed it is just harassment. This is the crap the ruined OSI servers at the peak and being such a small player base and community here we shouldn't have the attitude of "there are plenty of other people who play" because there isn't. Yes kill, loot and steal from each other, but it shouldn't get to the point of making people's precious time become unenjoyable to the point where they no longer want to play here. I'm sure most of you played UO "back when" and therefore are adults, and should know the power of holding up your hands and admitting that you have been a complete arse and saying sorry. Anyway, that's just my point of view. All the best @Boreder
Everything could be considered griefing. The player kept returning to the area in question. He could have left the area and just restocked. My guild was in the spotlight last year every time we pkd it would be considered griefing. We refused to rez someone that was griefing we raided a champ griefing killing people in ocllo griefing.
Stop. Everything is not griefing. We've all played this game for 20+ years. We all know what griefing is. And if you made a poll, 99% of the server would love a shard with everything Felucca involves, minus griefing. Unfortunaltly.. we still get the sociopath teenage crowd that gets their boners by griefing people. Shame.
I haven't played here long and apart from seeing the name in Ocollo a few times I haven't had much experience with CPU, but the one time I did was running past your keep and being killed, ressed and then gated to a town.. all without a word being said (I did say thanks after). This to me makes me believe that you guys understand the player base and are unlikely to be doing this type of griefing without a reason.
That's the thing it's the players choice to either Rez let them loot and move on or loot them and kill there mount. Neither of these are griefing imo Griefing in my eyes would be telling someone to leave the shard or saying hateful/racist things making a player feel uncomfortable playing here This could have been avoided if the player did not go back for his body for 2k armor and some band aids
I'm not sure about this. The server rules say something about not creating a discouraging experience for others. In my mind this is repeated, targeted, above and beyond stuff that ruins someones time login after login. I have no idea how griefing is actually defined beyond player A does something player B doesn't like. I don't engage in behaviour I think is shitty but really it's a pretty loose term. We've all been in Boreder's shoes before and it's too bad that he's leaving over this. However, his decision to quit seems to have been arrived at rather easily, and I don't think this situation calls for any kind of witch hunt. Being rez killed during a holiday event over the span of 15 minutes.... hmmm... I don't know where the line gets drawn, but I'm not sure it's here. Still, I hope he changes his mind. There's so much fun stuff to do here and these situations are avoidable.
Yeah you guys are right, it could be avoided, but sounds like this guy was hoping to be able to return this borrowed weapon. I cry when someone kills my mount.
Losing a wep is a common occurrence during these events. Anytime I die I go in with the mindset all my stuff is gone. Either way it sucks that we are going to lose a player over drama but, this could have been avoided
I can confirm that this is true. FWIW @Boreder , I hear ya on the not fucking with negative shit hype. I personally wouldn't quit over this, but that's me, and you're you and that's your choice. Good luck to you dude.
