@Unknown_Hero, you are promoting the main thing that killed off OSI UO to happen here on UO:R.
UO had peaks and troughs, yes but towards the end second age you couldn't go out without seeing or being PK'ed, this is the reason so many left the game and EA needed to find a solution to retain the populous and Carebear land was the way to do that.

No one enjoyed that amount of PK activity and then the griefing started with the PVP areas of Yew and Brit gates, but these were with other players who were there for the PVP, not your mob farmer or your new player.

maybe this post can be moved into trash talk so we can tell the post author what an imbecile he is?

no one if there right mind would want to increase the risks of losing what they have put their time into, as you say its only pixels then why do you want it?

also were you bullied at school?

Everyones been bullied, thats irrelevant. It's a game you always have risk without risk there is no fun.

Risks are part of the game and when it becomes too easy there is no longer the fun to play...
escaping the PK or standing and fighting...
the trills are part of the reason I log on to UO:R or when I cant do that, Ill be on the forums.

but you are speaking of a one sided event where person A has already won a 'fight' (even if its a surprise attack without a chance of survival) and then precedes to rub it into the other player by making their life even more difficult.
many of the players here are like myself, we have a small window in which we can play and if I were to be PK'ed it would be a pain, but all is fair in UO... on the other hand if I to be PK'ed and then horse killed or stone walled whatever... or otherwise bullied it would turn me sour to the game, I'm an adult you see, a very successful adult and I don't have to put up with children in my very precious spare time, unless they are my own!

It's a sandbox game, where we can make choices and do what we want such as kill peoples pets and them. Wanna be safe? Go fishing or staying hidden away in instances.

    indeed, we all have choices.
I don't need to stay safe as most people here are reasonable.

if I rolled up to an IDOC with a mare pack or a couple of dragons, its fair game... its a PVP event and expected to kill pets otherwise they will be killing you, but thats not turning up to Elder Gazers or deepest darkest of dungeons and dry looting and taking out the horse.
I wouldn't be surprised if you and your horse become a target from the views you have shown for your lack of remorse and desire to ruin peoples days.

no one likes shit in their cereal.

Speak for yourself dude, I love a bowl of Poop Loops in the morning.

I think it's important to acknowledge a line between griefing and assholery.

Assholery is even addressed in the servers guidelines but refined to label it as negative and discouraging behaviour.

Last person who went on a griefing spree ended up being banned for EV'ing afk'ers at Ocllo bank and caused the guardlines and guard mechaninics to be re evaluated.

    So there is a line.

Do I think that dry looting, pet killing, not rezzing and leaving someone stranded is griefing? No. I don't. I think it's kind of unclassy but hey dude - do you. You're not gonna make any friends and if I were you I'd keep your characters name under wraps as we are a tight community. A dry loot and mare killing in hyloth might turn into a trade not happening on an item you want because the person selling thinks you're a dick. But again - do you.

For me the line between griefing and assholery is drawn at a red parking themselves outside a newer players house and stone walling or energy fielding the entrance and PK'ing them for the 6th time in an hour while throwing abuse at them for being a noob or gating someone to that 3 tile island with your red dispelling the gate and throwing down blade spirits just to sail away and leave them stranded.

What we have here is a stable base of players with the same goal ultimately - enjoyment. And I personally want to make sure that's maintained and built upon by checking my own personal assholery at the log in screen.

Anyway, time for a another bowl of Poop Loops.

    LOL Poop loops.

And I've already made friends and roll with a group, no need for more friends.

That's cool dude, glad to hear it :)

Like I said - do you - I just think your use of the word "griefing" was maybe misused or misinterpreted.

I don't know about you, but my idea of fun is spending my free time to gain something and then losing it. Shit is fun as hell. I don't know why I didn't discover this sooner. I especially love when I win an engagement and the only thing I get in return is the ability to keep what was already mine; but it's a fleeting victory, because the loser will be back with +2 to take my stuff anyways. Preferably when I'm still low on mana.

You want people to stop whining? Come jump me with 10 plat in your pack instead of just 20 in each reg and a few pots. It’s only pixels. It doesn't appear that you want a pvp challenge. You want to win, and you want someone else to have a bad day as a result. I have a special appreciation for blue pks that scoff about people who are unhappy with pet death. That goes a little beyond basic irony.

I carry a mil check in a pouch within my pack at all times because I never die. I always carry 100 each reg and 20 each pot with a stack of 100 plat too. Pets dying is no issue when you have a feature called bonding, and pets don't take long to train.
